Are aftermarket cams worth the money? what kinda difference do they make? How much do they cost? who makes a good one? 05 z400

Theres a few companies you can choose from. 1st would be Hotcams. They make excellent cams for stock bore z400s and thier around $250 for the set of intake and exhausts. Webcams make great cams that a bit more pricey, around $350, im pretty sure. Sparks and Duncan also make cams.
I have hotcams and i can tell you that they are worth the money.

goto your local suzuki dealer and buy drz400e intake cam($129). It will bolt right in and add good power. You only need the intake cam ,also put the drz400 base gasket on too while you are there .it is thinner than the stock ltz400 base gasket and will increase your compression.

You can run drz cams. Intake vs both depends on what you want the power for.
Don't run the S model its the same as the Z400 you want the DRZ. You can get hotcams for about the same money as DRZe cams. Web & others make a few different grinds depending on what you are trying to accomplish also.
