What happend to Jasmin Plante?
Is he coming back next year?

Posted by: 4strokesyfz

now he prepare is yfz for the ice series, and i hope he did a couple of mx race in us, i think he is going to race for the canadian championship to. for sure the fastest canadian make is comeback in force this years!!!!!

Posted by: Z440racer

IS their canadains that will be racing in the US next year I will be at all rounds of the GNCC

Posted by: 400exBro

I am pretty sure Plante is runing the honda 450,
not sure if he will be back this year?

i might be running a few gnc next year, we will see

Posted by: Roostar 450

Kevin noone runs those GNCC their for the weak.

Do motocross hahaha
400exbro are you going to run the unidilla race in late july i think?

Posted by: clutt225

That sounds like a challenge. haha

Posted by: klotz12

I'm from Canada..Let me explain to you (I'm not speaking english very well)..Last year, Jasmin didn't race...He wanted to be in top of his shape for the 2006 season. He will race a yamaha for the 2006 ice season but he'll come back to honda for the MX...he will be starting the year in USA making a couple of GNC Nationals and come back to Canada for the season to race above Richard Pelchat, the canadian champ, wich is a very very good rider...Richard Pelchat is winning every race with almost a laps on the second...If Plante is in great shape, he will surely win..But if he takes that smooth...Pelchat will be the champ...Pelchat is going in USA, in florida in march form practicing and doing Nationals...Plante will be there..So we'll see in March..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/klotz12/Richardpelchat.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/klotz12/plante.jpg

The firts picture is Pelchat, the second is Plante...Pelchat is doing his own A-Arms, swing arms and steering stem..The are very nice and very durable...Not to expansive.. If you want to be different and original, buy this, they are the best quality price I ever seen...information : ice_devil666@hotmail.com

Rusaw maby I will try some CMRC races this year

The races seem to short thats all

Posted by: 400exBro

Roostar450 - you won the indoor arena cross thing that cmrc put on right?
I was planing on racing that but i wasn't sure how it was going to be like so i just watched.

I was at the unadilla national last year to watch and it looked rough as hell, i really like red bud. I was there the year before (to watch again) and that track looked like a lot of fun... If i do race it will be at Red bud for sure.

Plante will win for sure this year, i remember a few years ago when Plante was on his walsh 450, he just crushed everyone at Gopher dunes, it was a walk in the park for him. I can't wait to see him ride again this year. Don't get me wrong Pelchat is really fast too, and it was good to see him qualify for the Pro mains at unadilla. He is also a nice guy to talk to and the products he makes are top notch..

Posted by: klotz12

I'm pretty sure Plante will win...but don't forget, Pelchat was running all the time since two years..Jamsin didin't ride too much since...

Posted by: Roostar 450

400ex bro - yea that was me at the Arena Cross mat bos and jef dufour were also the other guys racing there. i didnt really like it at all.
The track want good at all in the main event. in practice we were hitting all the jumps but the finish line one it wasnt quad freindly. but yea i think i am going to run a few GNC races this coming year we should get together with some people and all go down.

Clutt225 - How is that new 450r you got from wakefield? now that you have that bike you should run some motocross with mitch and I.

Ya for sure, that would be great if we could get a whole bunch of ontario guys to go down and race GNC, i am in... Where do you plan on going? Unadilla, Steel Creek (the one in PA) and maybe Red bud?
I am in the process of getting some more stuff for my 450, hoping to get a walsh rear end, and then doing some motor work and she will be done. I will be running Intermidate this year under CMRC. You planing on running any cmrc?

Do you happen to know Mitch Hoyle? is he running a 450 this year or is he still on his ex? I saw him once at the Auburn hills race in the fall, and he was on a honda 450.

Posted by: clutt225

Im there Roo. I will try cmx and maybe some cmrc.
I love that r it's just so smooth, fast, light, you just feel like you can take on any thing with it.

Posted by: Roostar 450

400ex bro i live about 10 min from mitch and yes he does have a 450r now it pretty sweet. i plan on doing all CMRC races in the pro class this year and all the nationals and a bunch in the sates see how i do. i think mitch is running the CMRC too in int class. what kind of rear end you have in it now i would be interestedin it mine is standard length and would like to get a +1 or whatever mabye we can make a deal.

Posted by: clutt225

mine is stock swing elka dual rate with elka link.
how much do you want for the eye ball swing.

Posted by: 400exBro

Right now i just have a stock swing arm with a elka rear shock and single link (old style before the dual link)...
I plan on selling the rear shock and link if you know anyone intersted...??

Ya with the GNCs let me know to which ones you guys are going to, i really would like to hit a few this year (if money and time allows it) That way we can all pit together...

Posted by: clutt225

400exbro
Are you planing to go with the new dual link setup?
How much better is it?

Posted by: 400exBro

I am going with the walsh saviour setup along with a elka rear shock, it is suppose to work really well, so i am giving it a shot.

Roostar 450 do you have any motor work done to the honda?
I am going with a 13.1 piston but unsure of what cam and port work i should go with.

Posted by: clutt225

Roostar here is a pic of the bike when I picked it up.
Its in boxes now, the fit and finish wasn't to my standards.
Jim has the frame right now I should have it back in a week or two
and my new stem should be here next week.

Posted by: 400exBro

clutt225- that is one sick 450, i like it a lot

Posted by: clutt225

Not to bad but there was somethings in need of atention.
The stem was an extended stock stem (not good)
Burgard +2 on its way
The frame is in pc now
DVX chic got me a billet gas cap for xmas
I pc the yosh and the front bumper black
just little things
Have you ever seen my old ex. It was clean.

No i have haven't seen the old ex...

Ya the extend stock stem isn't really a good idea...

Posted by: clutt225

the scoops went black pc the day after the pic was taken, but this is how clean I likem

Posted by: Z440racer

what happend to LTR450

Posted by: clutt225

I found wakfields r in the trader, I recognized his house in the pic.
went to test ride it and fell in love. Terri/DVXchic is still on the fence and jeff is going to stay with the yfz. Terri is starting a atv parts store now dealing in new and used race part.

Posted by: 400exBro

what kind of parts will he be caring?
We need better parts stores here in ontario!!!

Posted by: clutt225

Terri is a chic and she has some stuff in stock but will find what you want and work with you to get what you need via ebay and her other conections throughout the states and Canada. They have save me a ton of $$. I think they have a pair of houser arms in fair condition for the yfz450 right now but they are likely to recondition them then sell them. they will also be offering powder coating. Here is a pic of Terri at the norm carr classic in belville ont.
flat track race. she nailed fourth this was her first flat track ever.

Posted by: 400exBro

opps, sorry about that.

right now i am still looking for a burgard chrome +1 steering stem or a walsh +1 steering stem (both anti vibe with oversized clamps for fat bars) Also JE 13.1 comp piston, cam not to sure about yet, steering stabiler, seat cover, i think that is it for now

Posted by: clutt225

Terri has a +2 burgard coming for me right now. her name on her is DVXchic drop her a pm I am sure she can help.

I have the 12to1 piston with hot cam stage2 works great.

Posted by: 400exBro

how is the power delievery on the hot cams stage 2?

I want a engine with lots of torque!! i am leaning towards the 02 crf cam, maybe even sparks or baldwin, not sure yet...

Posted by: clutt225

I have never rode a stock 450r so it is tough to compare. But it pulls hard all the time.

Posted by: klotz12

I heard Jasmin will be riding a Yamaha for the 2006 MX season, he said the bike was easier to ride...

Posted by: DVXchic

Hey guys, I have clutt sitting beside me here and he says you were looking for some parts. I am pleased to announce the opening of our new parts depot Full Throttle Racing, atv parts and accessories. What do you need? PM me and i will see what i can do.

Welcome to the site Rooster and Billy Z.

so that is 100% for sure...
I was hoping he would be on the honda, but thats his choice... At least he will be back this year!!!!

Posted by: Roostar 450

400exbro my bike has a high comp piston hot cam airfilter hinson clutch KandN filter and full titanium pipe running 13 39 gearing it ripps next year i am going to get another 450r and have 2 of them for the 2007 season that is. Depending on how well i do this year in the Canadian series i want to run all the GNC events and hope to one day get to the pro class their. so that is why i am not going huge on my engin this year i am going to wait till i get a new one to get it done up.

Clutt225 that bike is sweet i rode it up at a track in burnt river differnt power than mine more top end than bottom but that is what he wanted. Another ? how much do the rice lake boys charge for a swingarm to get red or black powder coat.

Terri or Jeff, can you get those FLEXX handlebars i really want a pair of them but dont want to pay for them to come across the boarder if you know what i mean. look into it and we should make a deal.

Posted by: 400exBro

You can just call me Timo (pronounced T-mo) that way you know who you are talking to when i see ya around at the track.

Ya that is not a bad idea, that is my dream some day to race all the GNCs but it won't happen for a while, not till i graduate from universtiy.
I also don't want to go crazy on the engine, just cam, piston and maybe porting. I am looking more for a engine that pulls hard in from the bottom to mid range, with gain up top. But i don't like riding these 4 strokes at high rpms, i like them to rip your arms out when you come out of the corner.
Have you ever seen the lsr ktm 540 that Thomas (75) rides?
I have ridden it a few times and it has gobs of troque, really pulls hard out of the corners, hard to keep the front wheels down. I don't think he has ever lost a holeshot, not even against James Banks.

Well good luck this year! we will see ya at gopher in March/April sometime

Posted by: DVXchic

Hey rusaw, could you PM me your phone #, I think your cute...

LOL, naw just kidding. Jeff would like to get in touch with you to talk about a couple of things. We are going to look into the flexx bar thing. I would like to become a dealer for them.

Posted by: Roostar 450

Timo yea i have seen that bike its crazy same bike as Jef Dufor's from Montreal. Ktm's have way to much power for the kinda racing that we are doing imo. I beat tom once in a holeshot at the gopher dunes nationals i was flyin though i had a really good line and my bike was running good.

Posted by: 400exBro

ok maybe he hasn't won them all, but hes damn good at pulling holeshots...
by the sounds of it you must have a good engine setup too..

Jef Dufors, he was the other one that raced at the cmrc arena cross in toronto right?
That is a nice ktm too, I was so close to getting a hybird crf450 but ended up getting the trx450 becasue they were just released.. Sometimes i wondered if i should have gotten that hybird because they handle so much better!

Posted by: clutt225

Timo I pm'ed you about the stem $$ Just call jeff and he will take care of you.
Rooster I will look into the $$ for the pc on your swing arm and get back to you. Also just to let you know jeff is building an oven soon. you may want to ask him about it. i was over at jeff's today and he was lookin into the flex bars. I may order a set at the same time if the wife will let me spend anymore money.

Posted by: 400exBro

got your pm.

you guys even do pcing, hm well i probably would want my frame and a arms pced, my swing arm has a fresh powered coat on it.

That is one thing, girls always want the money spent on them
but it is ok to treat yourself to a nice set of flex bars!

Posted by: L-P

Hi, I live in Quebec. I race the CMRC. I talked to Richard Pelchat recently and he said he was going to try to run all the gnc this year. He loved to race against the bests at Unadilla. He said that Usa's riders were so fast, he wasnt in shape enough to follow them for 20 min! Here in Quebec he dominates every races he is competing in. Habitually he is lapping the second !. Jasmin Plante is really fast too but he crashed in 2004 and didnt ride quad since 2 years now.

In march, we are going to Ocala or Waldo for a week and we'll be competing at the gnc ( Gainesville or echeconne ). I can't wait to go there.

If you see me there, say hi! lol

Here's my bike :

Hope to see you in march!

lmao I think i seen that race, I live like 2 minutes from Gopher Dunes, im usually there all the time, its pretty sweet for a local track.

Posted by: 400exBro

Ya i am not far from gopher dunes, that is usually where i ride all the time...

L-P have you raced any nationals in ontario?
BTW nice 450!

No I was planning on making the nationals at Gopher Dunes , Paiseley and Auburn but they are like 9h from where I live. I live near Montreal. I'll think about maybe I could go but I'm not sure.

bye

Posted by: Roostar 450

L-P nice bike man alot of $$ sittin there. that would be a big drive for you to go from Montreal all the way to Auburn hills. almost not worth it but i would do it. Are you going to run the Ontario Nationals this coming year? How many poeple show up to your Nationals? like in the pro class that is

later

Well I was planning on doing them but its really far.... If some of my friends want to come with me, maybe I'll go... Do anyone have any pictures of the tracks in Ontario? Is it worth to do 9h of driving?

Here in the nationals there are like 20 pros.

How many pros are racing in the nationals in ontario?

bye

Posted by: 400exBro

at provincal races not a lot of pros, max i think there were like 10-15.
Nationals there are usually a lot of pros.

I have a lot of pictures from the tracks in ontario that will be on the national circuit this year. I will post them when i get home from work.
Gopher dunes and auburn maybe the only ones worth the 9h drive, RAT gets really dusty, cool track but dangerous when there is no water there.

Posted by: Roostar 450

L-P It might be worth it but all your compition that you will have is the same when you are at home. not saying that the Ontario guys are slow there is just more fast guys that come from Quebec. And any fast Pro's that are from Ontario will make their way over to Quebec to race so if you are not going for a good finish in Canada than i proly wouldnt bother driving all that way to race IMO. I will be doing all the Canadian Nationals this year so i will see you at the track. Good luck this year.

Another question what are the average ages of the people who race in your series?

Posted by: Z440racer

Rusaw nice work on making the CMX ad I got in the mail looking good

Posted by: knight rider

hey guys whats up not much here but i did get the elkas on rusaw they work good im keeping the 440 for another year and i just put houser +2 a-arms on it and getting some other stuff c ya and uncle terry and aunt jeff whats up haha

it's me!
this year , i will have the number 20 and race with a honda trx 450er 2006

Posted by: Roostar 450

im not saying that the ontario racers are faster. If you just read that again it says that there are only like a hand full of Ontario racers that are fast as to the racers that come from Quebec. sure you guys have the upper hand on quad racing and all of you guys are fast. If you notice that there are only like 4 Ontario racers that come over to Quebec to race. I wish more would go over becasue there is alot of talent here in Ontario. Is your shoulder going to be good for next year?

hope to see you out there

Posted by: 400exrida06

Is Greg Gee a pretty good racer? He goes to my school and his quads pretty sweet, and fast considering the amount of money he sunk into it lol.

Posted by: 400exBro

Greg is fast. Considering he raced Jr the year before, wasn't that great at the beginning of the year, and half way into the season he just pulled away from everyone!!!
Now he can hold his own against Petker and Banks...
He sure has talent to ride!!!!

Posted by: 400exBro

Well here are a few more from gopher

sweet pics i saw thomas race at one of our tt races one year

Posted by: ct_racer

Greg Gee is a pretty good racer. He comes racing Quebec a few times last year and can run the beat here with our pros.

And like klotz12 said LP bought the bike from Carl Lussier #18 in the pro class here.

By the way, check out this pic of our canadian champ at Ste-Veronique, Quebec. An insane 100ft tabletop!!!

Posted by: DVXchic

Holy crap, thats some insane airtime. wish i had the guts to do that..

Posted by: 400exBro

That is sick.
Richard sure has gotten a lot better!!!!

Richard was also jumping the sky shot at unadilla, about 125 feet

Posted by: Ex_Rider43

He was also the first guy to try the sky jump in the week-end.

Im going to gopher dunes for sure. its gonna be a quad only week-end and its called challenge ontario VS quebec.. cant wait !

Posted by: 400exBro

O well, it is always fine times!!!
Ex_Rider43 so your going for sure? I will look out for your R, but i am pretty sure I will see it at the starting line

Yeah Im pretty sure that I will make it to gopher dunes, I am intermediate for 2006 also. Look for a yellow walsh 450r !!

Posted by: 89TRX350RX

I was wondering if there was any organized (or just for fun) Ice racing for quads scheduled for this winter in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan or in Northern Ontario, Canada? I live in Sault Ste. Marie, and know of a few people willing to travel to have some fun!!!

I live 15 mins from gopher. I flagged for the ATV nationals.

Greg Gee is an amazing rider, its too bad he broke his ball joint in the nationals.

She is going to ride again tomorow and post pics and a review. I think I made a big mistake buying the 450r, It needed more work than I thought.

Does that mean there will be more in ontario, my dad has a down payment on one, so we are waiting for it to show up... I really want to ride it
hurry up suzuki!!!!

Posted by: knight rider

jer if ur goingt o ride one tomrow im ridding my quad out there to try it or u can pick me up hahaha

Posted by: DVXchic

Well.........That zuk is one sweet ride, I really really wish i could afford it, but this whole business thing has my money tied up.

What do you guys think the cat would be worth, I put custom axis on the front and i have a houser swingarm for it too, (thanks Ernie). Or do you think i could get more money parting all the good stuff out and selling the bike with some upgrades.

I will probably be riding it for another year though, a girl can dream can't she

anyway, since i only got to ride the zuk for a couple of miniutes in the snow, i can't really give an accurate result on power other than its very smooth and responsive, instant throttle, EFI is a good thing. The ergonomics of the bike a close to a YFZ, but i felt way more comfy on the zuk. most of you know how short i am, and i have no problem getting my a** over the rear wheels, or hanging off the side and not feeling like i'm gonna fall off (like on my bike.)

anyway, i will post more tomorrow and some pics, hopefully i can get another ride in.

Hey everybody, I'm a new member as of this week.
Just wanted to say I that I'm glad to see such a good thread here about Ontario racers. I'm from the Sudbury area and raced last year in the CMRC Central series as an ATV Junior. I fight forest fires for the Ministry of Natural Resources and we had a crazy busy summer last year. I only got to race the first two races of the year, doing O.K. with a third and a second. I told myself that I would blow work for every race that I could but it ended up that I was in the bush and unable to call in sick for every single race that followed.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear about the pc options here in Ontario and feel for you boyz about the duty. I just ordered a set of Fasst bars and a LSR +2 stem and I know the duty is gonna suck, but I just bite the bullet. I do quuite a lot of business in the US and would be open for any help here in ON. My next purchase will be a -2 swing, I'm looking at Roll or LSR.
I have to say now that I am still on a two stroke and have not invested in a thumper yet. To be real honest, with the level of competition up here in Northern Ontario and my decent level of fitness I think that I can still be very competitive. I had to spend a lot more $$$, and have to be a lot stronger to hold on the the screamer.
I am really hoping to get to a couple of the races down south this summer (I't funny I say down south cause I'm actually at York U right now) and I'm wondering if you guys (and girls) see many two-stroke down here and how do they do. You dont have to tell me about the benifits I've ridden quite a few 450, but do ya think a guy on two stroke has any hope in hell at placing if he's winning in Northern Ontario on a two.
Here are a few pics of my quad, talk to you folks later.

there was one banshee racing in the JR class in southern ontario, he did fairly well. But i suspect to see a lot of ltr450 out racing this year.

We got a call last night and our dealer has a few ltr450s in, we are about 5th in line...

Posted by: clutt225

I love a nice shee. Just not man enough to ride one on a track.
Have you looked into the tt in parrysound it is a great race.
We go every year, actualy we run the whole series. I will be runing some mx this year also.

Posted by: Ex_Rider43

I love that banshee I found it on another website before.. You should call RP evolution for you steering stem and your swingarm he's got some nice parts for banshee's and elka is coming up with a crazy rear shock setup I think its going to be available this spring or this summer.

RP evolution is Richard Pelchat's business and you can call him at :418-834-4554

He is now in Texas for the Oak hill GNC but he should be back next week.

Rich is doing some good testing on his products

Thanks guys, who puts on the tt, is that a CMRC event?

Posted by: DVXchic

Hey 2000 mxbanshee, I pm'd you with some parts info.
The TT series is run by julien denis, and is CMA sanctioned, Its some pretty good racing, Parrysound is by far the best one to attend.

Posted by: clutt225

Here are some pics of the parrysound tt

Posted by: clutt225

these were from the 04 season

Posted by: clutt225

Not much air but it is a fast track

Posted by: atvfreak400

this track in parrysound is it open to the public ,if so were is it .It looks pretty cool I like to try it out before I sign up for a race there.

Posted by: clutt225

It is located at the ont. camp of the deaf in parrysound. There is also a mx track there that is used by the cmx. More info at motocamp.ca
Not sure if it is open to the public for practice or not. I travel 4hrs to get there to race. Its to far for practice.

Posted by: atvfreak400

ya It would be the best part of 4 or 5 hours for me to not so bad if you could make a weekend of it .

Posted by: clutt225

avtfreak were are you located. I am in hasting ont. just to the south of me we have a trail system that you can ride all day and hardly ride the same trail twice. There is also a mx track that you can take the trail right to.

Posted by: atvfreak400

I'am from stratford ontario ,I would be interested in checking some of your riding spots out in the spring give me some more info and maybe grab a few of my buddys and we can hook up.

Posted by: clutt225

I will be seting up a weekend ride with Terri/ dvxchic from Full Throtle Racing. Their farm is right in the forest. lots of room for camping. I will let you know more when I know more but it will be this spring. If anyone is intersted let me now and I will put you on a list so I know who to call when it is a go.

Posted by: atvfreak400

sounds great keep me posted

Posted by: 2000_mx_banshee

Thanks for the info folks. I am very interested in the tt, hope to see you there.

Posted by: 400exrida06

Hey I was just wondering if any one could give me some input on racing, i'm thinking about trying it this summer, I don't really know anything about it like the classes and stuff, i'l probably end up riding at gopher dunes because i live 5 minutes from there and practice there all the time, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Posted by: 400exBro

IF you plan on racing mx, join the jr class.
go to www.cmrcracing.com and there you can get your membership and what not, first practice for cmrc is on the 2nd of april and the race is the weekend after

Posted by: 400exrida06

Ok thanks for the help, so if I sign up to I have to go to all those races? And if i enter in the junior division what are some of the things i should expect and what kind of quads will i be racing thanks again.

Posted by: 400exBro

no you do not have to enter all the races, you can go to whatever ones you want.

Probably this year in the Jr class, I am epecting to see a lot of LT450r, and then some honda and yamaha 450s.

Also be sure you have nerf bars and a kill switch.

Posted by: 400exrida06

Oh ok, I probably wont stand a chance against the 450's though. lol

Posted by: clutt225

You would be suprised in mx a good rider on an ex can beat a 450 its just harder than it would be if your on a 450 your self.
Once you get past jr a 450 is alot more important. I finished 5th over all last year in the TT races int. B class on a stock motor 400ex. I may try some mx this year, but I don't expect to be competative. I will have the bike but I am not geting any younger, and the only shape I seem to get into is round.

Posted by: DVXchic

Yeah, its a b*tch carrying that spare tire around the track with you EH Jer, LOL

Posted by: 400exrida06

What kind of skill do they have? lol. What are some of the rules for the junior class I tried to open them up but i dont have that program thanks alot.

Posted by: 400exBro

basicly have nerfs bars and a working kill switch, the number must be displayed on the front (nose) and two on the rear fender.
Jr class white back ground and red numbers
Int yellow black
Pro white or blue black numbers

that is prettyy much it.
And yes a stock 400 can hang with some 450s it is all about the rider!!!!

Posted by: 400exrida06

Thats a pretty sweet quad. Are you still racing junior this year?

Posted by: 400exBro

I am racing intermediate...

That is an old picture, but that gives you an idea of what i mean with the background and numbers

Posted by: 400exrida06

Oh i got ya, does anyone know Nick Naggy? He goes to my school and i heard hes selling his 450 because hes buyin a suzuki. If i had the money i'd buy his quad because i think hes got quite a bit of money wrapped in it and its not a bad deal either.

Posted by: knight rider

hey jer those lil 300exs can hang with those 400exs eh haha

Posted by: Roostar 450

Motocross racing is all rider and all in the Head. My first year racing Jr. CMRC i was on a stock 400ex with a axle, pipe, bars. nerfs. my buddie at the time had a fully built 330r from CT racing that had elka's lonstar and a Arens frame on it and everything wls you can think of. a few races even though i was way under powered i was able to beat him. It's not all in the bike. It's all talent. And heart you gotta wana be out there and you gotta think to yourself that you have a chance of winning. Fast people dont always win eh Mike haha.

Posted by: Quad18star

Hey guys and girls . Good to see a post about Canadian racing ..... I just found it ... I guess I missed it over the last couple months . It's good to hear that Jasmin will be back racing , he's a great rider and an awesome guy at the track .

I'm gunna try and make it down to a few races this year to watch .... no racing for me .

If anyone wants a YFZ450 here in Ontario , I have mine for sale . It's practically brand new ... I only used it for about 2 months and it's been sititng for the last year and half . I'm open to offers on it . All stock with a graphics kit , spare battery and few little things .

2000_mx_banshee .... What your name?? I'm from Sudbury also . I recognize your quad but don't think I've ever met you. Nice looking bike by the way .

Posted by: 400exBro

Greg your making a mistake by selling that 450, you will regret it in a few years...

Ya for sure it is all about the rider, because i am slow, i just like to have a nice bike that handles awsome out on the track. I know that the bike is capable of so much more, but i have to build up my mental strength.

I remember a few years(3 years) ago i was on a stock 01 400ex, and did alright, but every year i raced i had gotten faster and gained confidence in what i was capable of. This year i was very comfortable on the bike and i was able to progress my speed a lot. The only thing i need to work on is holeshots becuase i am usually close to dead last, and always have to work my way up.

So anyone good at holeshot want to pratice with me? I think that my problem is more in my mind, that is probably the one spot where i have very little confidence in myself is at the starting line.

Posted by: 400exrida06

No its no Gee it's Nick Naggy, i dont know if anyone knows him hes got a 450r that hes going to sell, i dont think Greg would ever sell his quad lol, when he first baught it they sent it to California to get it all done up so its a pretty sweet bike, and i've heard hes got a 2nd yfz he uses for practice at his track at home, he rides quite a bit his dad makes him practice like everyday.

No the greg i was refering to was quad18star.
I know Gee wouldnt sell his quad, but i am pretty sure he has a brand new one for this year anyways.

Ya greg has a race machine which is picture a few pages back and then another close to stock yfz that he uses for pratice at gopher

Posted by: 400exrida06

Oh got ya, i dont know many names lol.

Posted by: Quad18star

Ya Timo ... I know I'm going to regret it . The guy that was gunna buy mine on Friday couldn't get approved for a loan , so I'm back to try and sell it again . It's back to bone stock now ... took off all my aftermarket parts and sold them already I think i should have waited till the quad sold before selling everything . Ah well , live and learn !!!

If I do sell it , I know I'll end up getting another one sooner or later ..... this time it'll be one that's already done up for racing or atleast a cross country setup . I'd most likely get a company like East Coast ATV or K and K to build it for me ... save me the headache and probably a ton of cash . I really enjoy the Yamaha , but the next sport machine will probably be a Honda or maybe a Suzuki or even a Hybrid ... they've all been catching my eye lately .

Do any of you guys know if the Canadian ATv National schedule has been released yet ?? I'd like to go down and watch a few . Also I know theres about a dozen or so guys from up north here heading down to Red Bud in the spring . If any of you guys go , let me know and we could meet up .

Keep an eye out for a northern kid this year by the name of Shawn Marinoff . Last season was his first on a quad ( first time ever riding and racing one) and he took every moto of every race up here . He also took a 3rd down at RJs at an ATV provincial race . He races a Raptor that's pretty much stock except for Works shocks and a pipe . This guy is FAST and a natural at it .

Posted by: 400exBro

I know that the gopher national is the 25th of June, RAT track is in July sometime, and Auburn hills is on the 3rd of september.

I probably won't make it to red bud because i will be back at school finishing off my 1B term for engineering.

I am trying to make it to the Macon Ga race, Unadilla or Lyoretta Lyns this year.

Posted by: Dubzy14

hey guys..just finally found this forum...i think you guys talked about everything, theres not much left now..im just racing CMA and CMX this year with jer and rusaw, and who ever else i guess

Posted by: knight rider

ME TOO!!! HAHA and hope fuly ldr to if u guys are up for more dirt bike tracks

Posted by: Roostar 450

i dont think that i will run LDR there wont be enough quads out there to make we wana go. I wana go were there will be some comp. so that is why i am going to stick with CMRC and do some down in the states.

Posted by: 400exBro

Well i pulled my piston out this afternoon, and there were no markings on the wrist pin or connecting rod like clutt225 had... Actually not even close, there was a bit of wear showing but nothing to worry me. We also check to see if there is any play in the rod and crankshaft. And there was no play.

Ya CMRC is where it is at!!!!!

Well i don't think i will make it to Macon, but we still have plans to hit GNC later in the year, probably either Red Bud (is a possibilty now) Unadilla, Dirt Days or Bill Ballances mx track

And here is a late picture of my rebuild. And i know it is a bit dirty i haven't really cleaned, but it will shine when i am done, hopefully the rest of my stuff will be in next week.

Posted by: clutt225

good to here.
keep us updated on your build

Hey Quad18star, how are things?
My name is Kyle and I raced CMRC Junior last year against Marinoff, I know him well. I placed second to him on Manitoulin and third to him in Massey. My Banhee kicks his *** at holeshots, but I started the year in not very good shape and could not finish the season cause of work. You bet, Shaun is FAST. It was my first year racing in Junior and Shaun was out of my league, he used to race bike's and has a lot of talent. I was pretty proud taking a holeshot and making him follow me for two laps in the mud, kinda fun. I said to some some of the guys racing in pro that Shaun is real fast and they said don't worry about him, that I was doing well for my first year. I met him at the Toronto Supercross this year, he sat two rows infront of me and was telling me that he racing down south this comming year, and that he had just bought a sled to race some snowcross this winter. Now that Shaun will be gone my competition will be Greg form Manitoulin who was on a Suzuki Z400.
I think I remember you Greg, you were on a blue YFZ450 eh? Was it you doing some styling on Manitoulin?
By the way, do you still have the YFZ?
Talk to ya latter.

I remember watching you race and your banshee is one of the nicest I've seen around . Yeah Shawn is quick and he'll probably be in even better shape this summer seeing he's been racing snowcross all winter . He has natural talent and gets a lot of support from family to help his racing . I talked to him not long ago and he said he was going to try and race a lot of the SWO races if his schedule permits . He raced against Greg Gee and a few other guys last year at RJs and held his own ... especially seeing he's riding a pretty stock Raptor ( all he has is Works shocks and a Pipe) . If he was on a full MX setup he'd be smoking a lot more guys .

I haven't raced ... I had my leg torn up pretty badly 2 summers ago in an accident , so since then I haven't done any riding . I have a white YFZ with GT Thunder graphics on it ... you might have seen it in Massey last summer . I brought it down and put a For Sale sign on it in the Pits with Josh Crump and Matt Gagnon . The Blue YFZ you seen was either Josh Crumps ( Legacy ATV graphics ) , Matt Gagnons(blue and yellow plastics... now owned by Kyle Guba) or Lionel Roys ( pretty much stock ... quad got stolen ) .

I still have my YFZ ... it's actually sitting at Sudbury Cycle and Marine right now . They're trying to sell it for me so that I can buy a 4x4 instead .

Here's what it looked like before I sold all the parts .

i was wondering about cmrc and what its like i have only raced cmx and tt circut im suppose to be moving into pro into the tt circut but i want to do motocross how much traviling is involved and how are the tracks thanks
mike

Posted by: 2000_mx_banshee

Hey Mike,
CMRC is a great organization, I just paid my year membership to join, it's $110.00. CMRC is very broad ranging organization and you race where you live. They break it down in Provinces then regions. For example, I raced Ontarion Central ATV Junior. If you live in Ontario it is broken down into SouthWestern, Eastern, Northern and Central. Each region has different amount of races and different tracks obviously. The tracks are always in real good shape, they are CMRC sanctioned events and are ususally run in conjunction with bikes. This can however be a downfall because they sure do rut up the track.
Now I'm not too sure about this, you might want to look it up or somebody on here might help me out but I THINK southern ontario has an ATV only circuit. Again, it all depends on where you live and how much travelling you are willing to do. And just because I am competing in the Central there is nothing stopping me from racing one or two races in the SouthWestern series, CMRC lets you do that.
Check out the website, it is pretty good. It has all the tracks, driving directions, last years results etc.

Here is a link to CMRC: GO HERE

Posted by: 400exBro

SWO doesn't have atv only events except for the ATV national at gopher dunes.
We sometimes have two day events where quad run saturday with some bike class.
There is also 3 class, Jr, Intermediate and Pro.
With traveling, it depends on where you live, Gopher dunes is only 30 mins (closest track and RJ is 2.5 hours, furthest track) 110 for membership, 10 bucks to get into the track and usually 30 for sign up at each race.

First cmrc pratice is on the 2nd of april and first race is on the 9th of april at gopher dunes.

Posted by: knight rider

thanks guys i live in central ontario so i might got o a few races im thinking about going in intermediate what are the quads like in intermediate

Posted by: 400exBro

I highly recommend going into Jr first becasue intermediate is no joke.
Ryan has had a tough time winning the interemdiate class for cmrc, and he is not slow.

If you smoke everyone in Jr first then move on up, but give jr a try first because there are always fast people in Jr.

Posted by: Dubzy14

whos the faster guys in CMRC?

Posted by: 400exBro

Pro- James Banks, Greg Gee, Justin Petker and Jeff Cadmen

Intermediate - Steve Largo, Jamie Klein, Thomas Riechstein (Sorry Thomas if i spelt your last name wrong, don't hate) Herman Newfield, and me well i am some where near the back

This year Scott Ball, Ryan (last name) and Tony (last name) will all be in intermediate and they aren't slow that is for sure.

O and who is racing Super Moto in Tornoto July 9th!!!!!!
I will be there

Posted by: Dubzy14

supermoto? toronto?? waaaat? is there infomation on this event, im there haha

Posted by: 400exBro

look on the main page, all the information is there

Posted by: DVXchic

Hey guys,
are there any womans classes in CMRC, or will i have to run the JRs and show the guys how it's done
and also, are the jumps huge, thats my weak spot, gotta do some training on that this year.

Posted by: 2000_mx_banshee

DVXchic I'll speak for Central Ontario cause that is what I know. No, there is no women's class, the chick's race right along side the boys. If you're just starting out Junior is for you, it is some what competetive and lots of fun. About the tracks, yes there are some pretty big jumps, but always remember, ride within your ability. See, us guys and girls race on dirt bike tracks, they are designed for lighter MX bikes and we race on them with our quads. Last year in round 1 at Massey there was a cool section that had a double followed by another bigger double. All of the bike were doing both but nobody on quads (pro and junior) was jumping the second double. I wasn't so much the distance but the steep short landing. I guess my point is if your not comfortable with somthing don't do it, just go out and have some fun.
About you prcticing jumping this summer, find a nice table top. This minimizes all fear and lets you focus on skill. Start out slow, hell just roll it a few times to get used to the feel. Slowly add more speed till your down siding it. This will teach you so much. Body position, speed needed to clear doubles, etc.
Anyway... I've been rambling.
P.S. Getting smoked by a chick would be hot!

Posted by: Roostar 450

i think Ryan Dixon is the most talented rider out there only if he had a bike that is up to par with the other pro riders. I raced him at Parry Sound on the motocross track and got my *** handed to me. Now im not saying that i am fast but i do alright in the pro class. he was getting top 5 finishes eveytime on a stock polaris 500. other than that Greg and James are fast as well. I am looking forward to going to race my first Pro season this year. I finally got my motor back and in the bike so will be out practicing as soon as its broke in. for all you Pro racers in the CMRC series remeber that you have to have a production bike and under 450cc and also have white on blue number plates. So all you guys that have the aftermarket 250r's or hybrids cant run them. I personally think that it is bull chit that they are doing that.

Posted by: 400exBro

You got to be kidding me about the production rule?!!?!>!>!?!?!?!

If so that is retarded we don't have enough turn as is. And does that apply for all classes?? I know at least two people that will be left standing then!!!

I forgot about Dixon, and Matt Bos they have great talent!! Bos just has bad luck on his 250r, should have kept the 450r!!!
I remember Dixon was jumping the walton setup on his banshee a few years back, that was crazy, and awsome to watch. (at least i think that was him)

As for womens class, if there is enough turn out there would be one at the national race. If not there are a few ladies that race in the Jr. class in southern ontario. It would be great to have a better turn out, my sister wants to race, but there aren't enough ladies.
And with the jumps Gopher dunes would be the best track, the jumps are do or die, they are very safe and easy to jump. But gopher isn't know for its jumps, it known for its brutal whooped out track. If your not in shape, gopher will own you.
Gopher dunes is by far the best track in Ontario for quads. Frank is very quad orientened.
Come on down to gopher, i am sure you will like it, plus there are trails you can ride too.
www.gopherdunes.com

Posted by: clutt225

I have allways like the idea of SM but I never wanted to give up my quad for it.
Looks like I might not have to, I hope this takes off.

unfortunately not, this is straight from the cmrc rules

ATV Junior Min. 14 years 0-700cc
- Production/modified 4 wheeled ATV
- 2 stroke or 4 stroke engines.
- Any production/modified 4 wheeled ATV.
- Red numbers on white backgrounds
- Junior will be considered as a "Progressive"" class with limited or no championships awarded
- Bore, Stroke, Non-OEM engines/frames are permitted.
ATV Intermediate Min. 14 years 0-450cc
- Any production/modified production 4 wheeled ATV using OEM cylinder
/bore/stroke.
- 2stroke or 4 stroke engines.
- Black numbers on yellow backgrounds
ATV Pro Min. 14 years of age 0-450cc
- Any production/modified production 4 wheeled ATV.
- 2 stroke or 4 stroke engines.
. White numbers on blue backgrounds

This mean that I will have to give up my 250r and build a 20 k + 450 if I want to race intermediate. What I don't understand is that they say 2 stroke or 4 stroke motor, so a moded 450cc banshee would be legal or what ?!?

Posted by: 400exBro

So basicly anyone with a hybird can race Jr right?

I know one person that has a LSR KTM 540 and he was racing intermediate last year, not sure about this year.

Do these rule apply for provincals, or just the nationals?
I know here they let things slide a bit at the provincals.

We will see on the 9th of april

Posted by: clutt225

I would say yes acording to the rules the way I read them you could run a banshee up to 450cc. But I don't think I would run out and spend the money next year it won't be production.

Posted by: Quad18star

They are going to screw up the racing series with new rules . This "production" stuff is getting stupid ... yeah I know they want to get manufacturers involved in the sport , but other than offering new models what else have the manufacturers done for this sport ?? Nothing !!!!!

They outta have the Junior , Intermediate, Pro and Pro Production 450cc .

Junior .... run what ya brung.
Intermediate ... run what you brung .
Pro .... run what you brung .

Pro production ..... Currently produced ATVs no larger than 450cc .

A lotta guys are gunna be pissed with this rule . What happens to the guy that has a 250r , a Quadracer , a Banshee ( next year) , a Mojave ??? I guess the CMRC is gunna tell them to stay on the sidelines???!!! I predict a lot of guys switching CMX if this happens .

Either sidelines or we will see the JR. class turn into an open class for anyone, and this will turn away the new riders because they have to race against the faster guys on open bikes.

Since CMRC quads racing isn't big enough, this will hurt us more then anything!

well, i never had the time to read all of the pages, but what do you guys think of Kedgewick New Brunswicks Freddy Lauzier?? He's on the bombsquad! awesome freestyle rider!!

I'm pretty sure i will make a trip to a couple of cmrc races, I was planning on bringing a trailer full of goodies to them for you guys, so always come prepared with cash,
I would imaging the bikes will tag along with us as well, so if we decide to try it out, were ready.
I've been getting better at jumping, we have a 40 foot tabletop right now, and i'm falling about 10' short on a good day.
We are reconditioning the track this year to be a little more motocross oriented, I'm pretty excited about that.
Heres a pic of me hitting the double, it looks bigger in the pic, clutt225 is bringing up the rear on the old ex

Come on out sometime. CMRC pratice day is on the 2nd of april first race is on the 9th at gopher dunes. If you have a itching to ride, you should try it.

The biggest jump at gopher is about 60 foot table top, so if you don't want to jump it you don't have to.

Thats awsome to see a Canadian freestyler!!!! have to give him some props

There were 3 canadian freestylers in there, one was from near where i live though, the others were from quebec i think..

Posted by: 400exBro

i seen that.
And there are going to be some shows in Canada, which is sweet. Can't wait to see the bomb squad.

Posted by: atvfreak400

Do you have to have a CRMC lic to race, back when I raced there was so few of us that you just paid a little more and they let you race. I don't know weather I want to spend the money if I only made it to a few races. I would be running a yz426 hybrid so I guess I will have to run the Jr class.

Posted by: 400exBro

cmrc lic is required - 110 bucks
day pass 50 bucks

lic is a better bang for your buck if you race more then one or two races

Posted by: atvfreak400

Thanks, I guess I get the lic and I will go to at least 2 races to make it pay for it self maybe I will see you at gopher dunes .

Posted by: Quad18star

Any of you guys remember a guy that used to be on here ... his user name was Forum .... I think his first name was Carl !?!?! He had a 400ex/yz426 conversion . Anyone know if he's still around or races?? He bought the YZ426 dirtbike off my buddy and the last time I seen pics of his quad , he wasn't quite done building it .

Does he still race? Does he still have the quad?? Anyone know who I'm talking about ?? lol

Posted by: 400exBro

Greg i know exactly who you are talking about.
Carl, he still has the yzf426 conversion, but always has had problems with it. He will back racing this year.
His buddy luke is puting a cr250 motor into a 400ex frame. Both of them will be at gopher, or at least i hope.

I have some pictures of the bike completed i can get up later on tongiht

Posted by: atvfreak400

If you could get some pics that would be great then I could compare my conversion to his

Sucks that he's had problems with it . I sure hope it wasn't motor problems .... cuz the dirtbike had hardly any hours on it . My buddy bought it and used it maybe 10 times ... never raced it or anything .... the bike was just too much for him , plus his girlfriend ( now wife) made him sell it .

A couple pics of the quad would be awesome to see . Thanks man .

that 400ex with a cr250r motor in it will vibrate the crap out of him i have seen it done like 15 times and eveytime its crap. Fast but you cant hold on to it. they are so bad cause they dont have a counter balance in the motor like the TRX250r's do. But you can get away with it if you have striaght motor mounts on the bike. It will be interesting to see if it works good or not. And banshees will be alowed to run in the pro class cause last time i checked they are under 450cc and they are in production right now unless they are not selling them any more. the only production bike you cant ride would be like a DS650 Raptor 700-660 predator 500. i think it is also stupid that they are going to tell Mat Bos, Ernie Austin, Kent shantz, KTM Tom dont know his last name and others to run in the Jr class. Not really a fair race if you ask me.

I said it before , and I'll say it again ... you're going to see a lot of guys jump ship from the CMRC and switch to CMX if they tell a lot of guys that they can't run their quads because it's not a production bike and it's not under 450cc . A rider moves into the Pro class because he feels there is not enough competition for him or her in the Junior class ... if the CMRC tells him that he has to move back down to the Junior class I'm sure he'd be pissed ... I know I would be . Now what about all those guys in the Junior class that would have to run against guys that have been in pro class for years .... their skill levels aren't on par with these pro class guys ... they'll be switching to another series or quitting .

Personally I think the CMX is doing a way better job at giving quad racers more opportunities ... the CMRC has never really been interested in quads as long as I can remember ... quads have always been a side show . If they want to limit the size limits on motors , atleast have an Unlimited class ... cuz I know theres a bunch of guys that race with Predators or Raptors etc .... and telling these guys they can't come out and race after a guy has spent $10 000 on a brand new machine is a real kick in the nuts .

I say F*ck Stalybrass and his CMRC and join the CMX .

Posted by: atvfreak400

I with you on that Quad18star , I have sunk alot of money in my quad so that I could go racing, and for them to limit us to one or 2 classes sucks.I can remeber 12 to 15 years ago when I first started racing you raced what ever you had and there was only one class ,because there was not that meany of us, the sport has came along way sence then, its almost like there trying to stop the little guy on a buget from racing and thats there bread and butter ,they better be careful.

Posted by: Dubzy14

i say you all come over to CMX too, it could use some more quads to make it way more better...last year was a great turnout, this year can be way better

Whats happening , is that it seems like they are trying to please the manufacturers instead of the riders... and to me that's not right .

You're right in saying they are trying to cut the little guy out of racing . If they are going to say that 250Rs , QuadRacers, Hybrids aren't allowed , well then there goes a huge number of racers . The price of racing is through the roof already and what do the riders get out of it?? Not a whole lot . Where does the membership money go to ??... to the dirtbike riders. I keep on reading over on the CMRC website " Support this" Support that" ... My question is .. WTF is the CMRC doing to help support the riders ?? They've had a monopoly on the racing scene up here for years ... but now with new organizations comming into play , I think the CMRC better change their ways of thinking , or else they'll be struggling to find members in the next few years .

I know of a few dirtbike riders that have said F*ck the CMRC and are riding CMX now . Apparently it's better organized and that people running it actually help the riders out and aren't just in it for the $$ .

Oh by the way ... the Central Ontario schedule is up ... go look at it and tell me how pathetic it is . There's like 8 races and it's devided between 2 tracks . Really sucks .... and to think , 5 years ago there was about 10 different tracks involved . Goodbye racing in Central Ontario .

Posted by: Roostar 450

yea but i think it would be alot better if they would make a open class that ran with the production class and just had differnt number plates. like production with white on blue and open black on white. than anyone can run. The national series has changed their top class to the prodution this year that is where there will be the most pay out in the prodution as to the pro open class last year. I personally think that the CMX tracks are no good and they are only going to have like 6 reaces this year i was talking to Jenn Button that does the races and she said with the crapy turn out last year that they are not going to have all that many races this year. Lets face it all the compition is in CMRC and why are they going to travel farther to race difernt people. I'm still sticking with CMRC and doing the odd CMX when they are close to home. i just want to see them have a open class.

Posted by: Dubzy14

damn, i want more than 6 races at cmx..that sucks

Posted by: 400exBro

Carl was having problems with his frame cracking, and i think that the sprokets weren't lined up that well either. His motor was fine becuase it rips!!!! Just mostly frame problems, probably didn't have enough renforcements to handle the 426.

The only good i can see of this happening (crmc production rule) is that they won't carry it through on the provincal level. From some reason it always seems that they let things slide a lot. Like numbers plates, nerf bars and kill switchs. So if there are enough people complaining they will let it by on the provincal level. I know for sure that Thomas will put up a fight, that ktm is worth to much to have it just sit on the side lines .

Posted by: Roostar 450

im with you Timo i dont think they will send you to Jr i know it says in the rules but lets just think for a min. they will do somtihing about it. i wouldnt worry about it

Posted by: 400exBro

word.
Lets just race.

Shane , you see the Central Ontario schedule ?? It's sooooo sad to see . I hope you like the Massey track and Providence Bay cuz that's the only places you'll be racing this summer in the area . I can't believe the Sault didn't get on the schedule . I think a lot of racers are going to be making the trip down south this year .

I hear ya Greg, Like 3-4 years ago, central series had 8 tracks! Now we're down to 2... like ouch...

Massey is fun, prov isnt bad... but the real racing is gonne be done in the southeastern series. See ya guys around.

BUMP

can't let this thread die.

only 18 days till gopher pratice day

Posted by: Dubzy14

id so love to drive the 4 hours for the practice, but i dont think im gonna

Posted by: 400exBro

get a ride with Ryan or Mitch.

i am sure they will be down at gopher

Posted by: shano

Whos gonna race RJ on the 16th?

Posted by: clutt225

Is the gopher practice open to quads only or is it for bikes too.
and do I have to be a member of cmrc

Posted by: Dubzy14

yea it would be nice to use a cmx or cma membership to just practice at gopher

Posted by: atvfreak400

anyone know of any tracks that are open to quads in sw ontario, most of them are only open to quads when there is a race on and it makes it hard to get some decent setup time in.

Posted by: 400exBro

You do need a cmrc to pratice on that day, but Gopher dunes is always open to quads. Frank really helps us out by putting on ATV only events as well.
Gopher dunes is open 7 days a week so no membership or anything is required.
On April 2nd is just a CMRC pratice day.

I know that Gopher almost opened on sunday, but i am not sure if they are open now since the snow and cold weather we have gotten.

Posted by: Quad18star

Anyone know if there's anything that's going on the day before the ATV National at Gopher Dunes... which is Saturday June 24th ???

I'd like to go down and watch some racing and make a weekend out of it but if I'm only going down for 1 day that's really gunna suck . It's too bad it's not a full weekend event .

Another thing ... is RAT Track holding 2 ATV Pro Nationals this year ??? On the schedule it says they are only having the one July 16th ... but when you look at the " Tracks" section on the cmrc website it shows that they have the ATV Nats July 16 and August 6th . Im confused . Rat Track website is not updated yet so I can't comfirm through their site . Anyone know ???

Posted by: Quad18star

Where is a good place to stay if I go down to watch the races ???Any nice hotels in the area ??? I don't want to end up in a roach motel !!!

Posted by: 400exBro

I can remember last year frank put on a saturday event that was sponsered by Bombardia (sp?) so they had stuff you could do there as well as trail rides.
Sunday is when the racing starts/ happens.

As for RAT track there is only one national there, and 3rd national in ontario is at Auburn hills.

If you are going to come to gopher to watch the national, there are some nice hotels in Woodstock (30 min drive) or tillsonburg (5 min drive)
www.gopherdunes.com there is a list of hotels on there

It's too bad that it's not a 2 day event ..... it's gunna be a long drive if I go down there for only 1 day . Maybe I'll see if my GF wants to take a vacation and make a week out of it or something.

Where do most of the racers stay ?? Also are there many Pro racers from Quebec that show up for this race ?? I think I'm scrapping the idea of going to the states to watch races this year and just gunna stay in Canada .

Posted by: 400exBro

I have heard from a lot of people (from Quebec) that they are going to make it down.

I am sure it will be bigger this year, especailly since Plante is back.

Nice . Is it a for sure that he's back ??? I've been trying to find info about him but haven't had any luck .

I wish the CMRC would post the FULL ATV National schedule up ... atleast then I could plan some trips . I'm thinking of maybe heading to QuadPro in Quebec to check out their shop .... they have a Lonestar KTM 520 for sale for a decent price .

*******Oh ya and just a reminder to all HONDA RIDERS ... Honda Canada has April 30th set as their last day to register for their contingency program ... so if you want to win some cash and chaces at a great package , sign yourself up !!! ********

Posted by: 400exBro

The rest of the ATV national schedule is up, just go under quebec, you can find it there.

With the Honda Contingency program, i thought it was just for dirt bikes.?

Anyone know which ATV National in Quebec is the best to go watch? They all seem to be 2 day events which is a good thing .

Any help would be awesome .... I'm trying to plan our summer vacations and we're hoping to stay in Canada this year instead of travelling to the States . It got a little too expensive to go to New York last year .
