Last week I got my HMF full system and yesterday got it al on and jetted....all was well until I got to the air filter.
I bought the HMF foam filter that is supposed to use the stock cage and I cannot for the life of me get this thing streched over it?
I did put HMF on w/o cage and go for a ride and what a HUGE difference!
I am just about to give up on this filter and trash it along with stock. My question(s) are;
Is there are trick to getting this damn thing over the cage (2nd ring)?
Is the HMF air filter even worth it?
If not am I better with Uni, Twin or K&N (I was advised to avoid K&N in the desrt due to the dust and silt where I ride)?
FYI - I also drilled six 1" holes in the airbox lid and am going to use those little uni plugs in them.
Hell, the simplest things are alsways the biggest PIA!

Damn thats why i always avoided that kind of stuff. HMF is very good so i wuold think it would be a nice air filter. But for ur conditions id get def get the uni.

Uni has a less restrictive cage which is a way better improvement over stock I would deff. recommend getting a UNI once you get one you wont want a nother air filter
