the sleeve is the part that would get bored

if you got a manual you can do it........ and its the cylinder that gets bored not the piston........ pretty easy i never took a wuad apart and so far mine is going good???

what about putting the cam in is that easy?

Posted by: hawaiiansupaman

yes just be carefull not to drop the cam bolts and put lots a lube....take out the decomp plunger and spring too

Posted by: TRX23rider

would it be safer to just to take it to my local honda dealer and have them do everything?

Posted by: hawaiiansupaman

if you have the money for them to do it then i guess do it but its not that hard and i think you could do it yourself..

Posted by: TRX23rider

how much do you think it would cost for them to do that?

Posted by: hawaiiansupaman

no idea depends how much they charge an hour?? it took me and a friend about 10 hours keep in mind weve never done it before so it was a learning experience plus it was like 20 degrees..

i just had my local shop install a cam for me. it was around 150$ for installation and parts (2 hours at 75$ an hour). if your not sure if you could do it yourself, like i was, spend the extra money and make sure its done right. Because you could be spending alot more money in damage due to improper installation later down the road. just my 2 cents.....
