What covers is the corrosion problem behind?

I have been getting very close to buying a KFX400 but now that I read about this new problem it has me skeptical.

What covers are the ones that have the corrosion issues? Is it the water pump cover and the clutch cover?

It is the clutch cover behind the water pump cover. I would bet heavily that if you have your service tech at the shop pull the cover that it will be corroded FROM THE SHOWROOM FLOOR. I would still buy my Z again in a heartbeat, just make sure you get the coolant flushed, run a magnesium safe coolant, and change it OFTEN.
