I just put a full pro-circuit pipe,k&n,outerwear, proflo adaptor, and jetted it. What rev boxs do you guys recommend, and do they work?

I did not see or notice the gains some people claim? They work best with a engine that has cams & other mods that revs faster. If you have trouble bouncing of the stock rev limiter. On a stock motor I did not see much of a benefit. For the money a procom works good. If you want the option of different rev limits & curves a Dyna & vortex are nice. Unless running NOS or different fuels, the best bang for the buck is the procom or a preset cdi. I like my Dyna cause it is programmable. For the cost you can get alot more power for the dollar with other mods first. JUst my 2 cents.

Unless you have a big bore kit or aftermarket CAMS then you won't really see a difference...IMO.

I have a Rev Max on mine. It has 9 different settings. 3 stock rev limit settings, 3 with +1000 rpm, and 3 with +2000. Each setting has different timing curve adjustments. I don't use the +2000 setting because i have a stock motor and don't want to float my valves but the 4,5,&6 settings are nice. I can get these boxes for $159 shipped. PM me if you are interested.

My dad has a procom rev box on his z400. Its a +1850 rpm limit and i can honestly say that i dont feel a difference at all. Jumping on his from mine they feel exactly alike. This was when they both just had an exhaust.

That is probably because it just extends the rev limit and doesn't change the timing curve. If your motor doesn't have enough power to hit the rev limit on the stock cdi putting one on that has a higher limit does nothing for you. If you use one that changes the curve you notice power through midrange more.

well just got back from ridding it. It hits the rev limiter in the first 3 gears preyyt easy. So it looks like we are doing cam valve springs, and a procom style rev box. Thanks for everyones help.
