You will gain take off but lose top speed.

exactly so you need to change sprockets to 13/36 (close to stock) or 14/36 for a little more topend

A 15/38 will also work with 18 inch tires but a stock engine may have trouble with it.

a 15 tooth front sprocket will require you to remove the case saver which in the long run could be veery bad. a 14 tooth will make it a tight fit so you will need to make a save like i did
