i just switched handlebars n theyre lower n wider but wen i started it to test her out it revved high n then i adjusted my line where it screws into the thumb throttle n started it n it ran normal so i gassed it and when u get off it stays revvin for like 10 sec which is a lot since i got a dg on it.what u think?

Not sure what quad you have but if you have a 250x/300ex, make sure you didn't pinch the throttle cable where it crosses between the gas tank and frame.

sounds like the cable is being pulled from the handle bars being wider
check to see if you have play by the carb and fool with that
