hey ppls, i just got into getting some big air at mx tracks. but scince i dont wanna die young i need to konw\learn how controll my quad in the air, i know that brakes = forward, and gas = little back.. i dont konw how to get out of any kind of whip or how to make it not roll, if you konw what im talkin about and can help please do so before next summer, luckily the snow is keeping me on the ground, for the most part. thanks

I dont know how much of help I am but I will try. If your front end is too high you want to pull in the clutch and slam on the back break. If your front end is too low you want to give it gas. I think giving it gas in the air also helps you straighten out a bit if your sideways.

If you have to ask you shouldnt be doing it!

nicely put... and also very true, if you aint wreckin you aint ridin

i feel that! i used to make a lot of mistakes when jumping, but eventually you learn how to hit it right and move it around naturally. i honestly never hit the brakes in the airin order to correct myself, but i will occasionally hit the gas to bring it up a little. practice is the best though! lots of jumps, and vary them! dont just do one jump over and over or else you will not learn how to hit different angles.

my favorite quote........if u aint crashin u aint ridin hard enuff

It's not if you crash it's when!

Just take your time and don't go crazy too fast, lol. Just work your way up is all I can suggest. You are going to crash once in a while its part of learning. Just make sure you put your gear on and make sensible choices.

Yep..gotta learn from ur mistakes...ths year i overshot my 1st tabletop n went over the bars n got knocked out n got some road rash all over my back n legs n arms....meds came over n wanted me on the stretcher but i wouldnt let em...got back on n finished my race...it felt good to get the props for doin that

practice alot and lean into the whip...the highest side...to straighten out...how about trix?

whell for tricks i can do just about anything while riding a massive wheelie, and for in the air i can do the daring one footer.. <--- such a noob lol

Posted by: Honda6sv

try a no footer?

i like no handers personally myself easy on quads and i ain't so good with no footers tho and im a beginner i have did a nothing 3 times tho they're awsome i guess i jus ain't good with my legs maybe cuz i weigh around 245 and im 6'2 so

No handers are harder for me to do than no footers, don't know why..
No footers and heelclickers do require some flexibility though. So far my best trick is a heelclicker to no hander lander, I need more seat time to work on some better tricks.
