Two things.

1. Is it really worth it getting it converted to SSD with Elka springs?
2. How much is it going to cost?

Thanks
Steve

Upgrading the suspension is always worth it. I'd reccomend a reputable company. Be sure to tell them what it is and what it's going on so it can be setup correctly.

take it to Derisi Racing great guy to talk to he knows his stuff when it comes to Suspension. He redon my works and they are great. Ask for Santo

Go with the SSD setup.

i never really figured this out, but will i lose ground clearance with getting the SSD?

Posted by: hardkoratvmxr

no you will not lose ground clearence i dont believe. it lowers your seat height.

Yes, you will lose some clearance. Although it's not difficult to simply adjust the preload lockring to adjust for a higher ride height. Generally, when you run a shock like the Elkas, which normally come with SSD, you lose about 2 inches of ride height. However, even with my Elka rear, the rear of my frame still has about 7.5- 8 inches of ground clearance with the preload ring at the top of the adjustment.

yeah, im just worried about that because i race XC and i already rub the skid plate at many tracks.

I have heard many people say they like single rate non-zpd better than a cuel or tripple rate zpd set up. I LOVE my single rate axis 9-click compression adj. rear.
