Has anyone done a hybrid type quad with a 80 or 90CC engine in a 300EX or another chassis..My stepson is getting too big for his LT 80 but isn't a good enough rider to handle much bigger...like a 250EX...can anyone give me some info on this subject thanks

Been there, done all that.
If your rider cannot handle a big machine, how can he handle a big machine with a small motor? The machine is the same size.
FYI: this is normally done with a CR80 motor in a blaster frame.
Is your rider too big or just bored with the stock motor on the LT?

Oil City...,,,Nice shiney tooth ya have there...j/k

well he is just too tall for the LT 80.....and he is bored with the LT motor....and a little of me not thinking he can handle much more than that.....there is nothing made by the way of a 125.....suzuki makes a 160....but the thing is still a little small.....I wanted something that he could use for quite a few years......what do you mean by a nice shiney tooth...I'm not getting it

OH GEEZ!!!! ME BAD!!!!!!!!
It's UNION CITY that everyone raggs on about being toothless hillbillys. <EG>
Sorry dude!
Just how tall is he?

Well I'm gonna say he is over 4' and hes only 11....but he is really skinny

My kids went from the 80 to a LT230/300ex/rancher350 w/o problems.
At age 11 I cannot see why he couldn't handle a 250ex/z250/300ex type of quad WITH proper adult training and supervision.
THANK GOD!! I was waiting for you to reply that he's 6 years old.

a 250ex would probably be a good next quad for your son.... semi auto good susp. and good but very smooth power good luck

Don't count out a Blaster. I got one for our 10yr. old to play around on and he does fine. And they are cheaply priced.
