is there a rev limiter in 5th gear just woundering and does it hurt to run ur bike wide open for a short period of time ??

the rev limiter is in all gears. wuts the difference if you hit it in 2nd or 5th? nuthing. its not great to ride it on the rev limiter at all. i dont see y you would want to anyway. were do people come up with this stuff?
