a friend bought a new 05 predator with the fox shoz and all that crap. when he got it the susp was jacked all the way up and was super stiff and impossible to ride. i loosened the spring preload and dropped it a good bit. now the bike actually rides nice and is much better feeling. only problem is the springs are too short i guess cause with the preloads backed off the shock travel is more than the spring length. so when the front or rear leave the ground, via jump, wheelie, lifting on the trailer, etc... the springs make a horible noise because the spring becomes loose and can float ont he shock by a couple inches.
is this the case for everyone? is there a better longer spring? did we get screwed by the dealer with these springs?

They are all like that. Lots of guys have bought the triple rate setup from HPD.
