My buddy was taking his stock skid plate off and he stripped one of them. Its an allen wrench. What can he do to get it off without cutting it off. Its on a kfx400 06

Use an easy out. If you do not have one, most hardware stores carry them in various sizes.

use triflow (lubricantr from hardware store) and vice grips.....worked for me

You can always use a drimel type tool to cut/grind a notch in it and then use a flathead screwdriver to get it out.

Well if its on the skid plate I doubt you can grab it with a vise grip etc... I have a set of set of allen wrenches that work on striped heads. I would try taping the next closest size of a standard in there. It works most of the time, for standards find the next size of metric. If that doesn't work do like huffdaddy_400EX & try and make a slot. If that fails you could drill out the head. Or weld on a nut etc. etc.
