Thats beautiful!!! thank you Chris!
It looked pretty rough before. It was painted black and was all worn where my foot rubbed on it.
Chris is VERY HIGHLY recommended! Very nice guy, and extremely easy to deal with.

chris sent you a pm

well a lot of people have asked how i got the case to look like it does,,,,,
first i stripped it....
then i used my die grinder(air driven) and some grinding rolls in 320grit with grinders grease to keep the roll from loading up with aluminum,,,and got the small surfaces down to the same level....
then on the flats i used my d/a sander with 320grit discs to get the large areas smooth....
then i used my buffing motor with 10" wheels to get the fine scratches from sanding out, using tripoli compound,,,,,,which also has a fine cutting ability
then lastly i use white rouge to finish it up and igive it a real good shine...
all the stuff i used adds up to about $1500 in tools and materials....

here are some pics of the clutch side..........( again i forgot to take before pics,,,sorry),,,,,,,

Chris dumb question.
Will those rust without some coating or since they are so polished they can't?
By the way that is some nice work you do.

they are made of aluminum they wouldn't rust. however if it were steel they would rust.

But won't you always have to polish them to keep them at a mirror finish???
they can't just be left alone like that and always have shine,,correct???

Posted by: stocktires
No and Yes,
After you polish something you only have to touch it up with a little polish about every 3 washes or so. Its not hard at all.
Posted by: 250rmike
ow hey chris how much do you charge for both of those? i might have to send mne to yah once i get my other parts

actually mine have not been polished for about 5 washes,,,and that is after riding in the sand too....
no we dont have any mud,,,and i cant make any cause of the water restrictions...

right now if you run water over stocktires cases they will bead water.

Chris have your ever tried nickel plating? Check this web site out www.caswellplating.com. I'm almost half tempted to get one of the starter kits.
Posted by: stocktires
nickel chips of badly. I know that for a fact, cuz on my paintball gun (Angel and My ole spyder) nickel plated barrel, if you rubbed up against anything, the gets scratchs badly!

yeah i have seen their stuff,,,,,,,,i also though one time about getting a chroming kit and and anodizing kit,,,,but i have enough to do with the stuff i do now.
besides i dont have enough call for plating/anodizing to spend the 400 to 600 on a kit to do any sizeable pieces.....
