Why do most people who do freestyle use 4 strokes?....All the bikes that do it use 2 strokes. Is there a reason why the 4 wheelers dont?

I think the thumpers help the quads because of the extra weight maybe?

ive thought about that too. the 2 strokes would be easier to manuver in the air because they weigh atleast 30 lbs less

the 4strokes are easier cause u got a wider area of power in each gear. and the new 450s weigh the same as te ol 250r did.

Yes and I know for a fact if it was anyone else that said that their would have been alot more bashing. haha

But guys , seriously ... 4strokes are the future.. 2strokes are a thing of the past , like it or not, now that we have 4-strokes that can run with them.

im not trying to start anything but by no means is a 2 stroke a thing of the past!!! Its all personal preferance . 4 strokes are just a substitue for the no longer produced 2 strokes !!!!

Im right with you on that one brother. I didnt want to start up a big aggrument but at the end of the day, it dosent matter if your on a 2 stroke or 4 stroke were all out for some fun.

oh god....lol when u said not that good of a quad i thought like all around like MX XC etc. i forgot this was for freestyling, i didnt mean that sorrry. Cause the 250r is legendary and it pisses me off when people go to the track with a new 450 and think they have the nicest thing on the track and nothing can touch them....idk just my 2 cents

I'm not trying to take anything away from the 250r..
It kept quad racing going and set the standard for handling and suspension.
Also has the best geometry of any stock quad made.
And yes, the motors can be made Very fast.
I'm just simply saying that they have now met their match and are being taken over by new 4-strokes.
