Is there a special tool to compress the piston rings while you put it into the sleeve or is there a special method that you have to do to get it in there. Thanks

There is a tool made for that but it can be done with just your hands, it can be difficult though. The first time I did it by hand without too much trouble, the second time I had a heck of a time getting the oil ring to cooperate so I used a hose clamp.

They make piston ring compressors to put it back into the cylinder, its super easy that way to just use a wooden hammer and tap it with the handle.
