what all do i need other than nerfs and like a kill switch or do i even need a kill switch

depends where your racing really. the usual is nerfs, long sleeve shirt, tether kill switch, riding boots, and optional but recommended chest protector. oh, and number plates front and back

oh and i wouldnt forget your balls and nerves in which both will be stretched and strung!

If you are racing AMA sanctioned events, you will need to have the following.

Full Fave Helmet,
Eye Protection
Boots measuring to a certain height
Long sleeve shirt

Tether Kill Switch
Nerf Bars
Front and Rear Vertical facing number plates.

All Exposed Glass covered.
