Who else agrees that the new R450 looks like a YFZ with the light on and A TRX 450R without the light. I give Zuki props on making this quad with EFI but get better design. i like my yfz better but thats just my opinion. later

I think it looks pretty good. There's only so much you can design on a bike or quad now days. Besides, most people put new plastics and carbon fiber on anyways.

yeh they cant make everything completely different on the quads. im bettin that in years to come its gona end up more like the dirt bikes where the looks will be close the the same on the quads.

Just a polite response to the origional poster.
I love the looks of the LT. It definatly has a distinctive Suzuki look without that fugly blue hood.
I love that they kept the T-Seat. All 3 quads have a similar look because they designed them to be hit with a body saw. Fenders were designed as race cut with extra flare.
I do like Honda's bolt on fender concept a little better, makes it quick and easy to swap between race cut and full fender. But, the LT may be easy as well, we'll have to see. That being my only complaint other than the frint light, I'm satisfied so far.
I plan on putting a set of 3 trail tech lights in place of the stock light.

GEEZE!! look at that gap with no heel guards lol.................i think its kinda kool without the headlight.... with the headlight i think its ugly, they coulda found a better position....

that pic of Gust's bike makes the plastic look like a stealth bomber, also it looks 10 times better without those HUGE factory heal guards

Quick one I did, working on a higher quality

lol it does look crazy with the gap from the heel guards being removed, i wonder why they are so huge
Posted by: bwamos
To keep the rear fender small. Race Cut rear. Little wind resistance for MX & TT. The large heel guards are the keep from being sued when someone gets their heel sucked into the rear wheel.
If you take off the saftey device, you can't sue them. They are just covering their butt againdt the novice riders. Most of us will have nerfs with a partial heel guard, anyway.

Im concerned that the rear plastics may catch the top of your riding boots.

It could. We'll have to see. I don't wear those over the boot pants either. Nothing like a pant leg full of mud.. lol.

The only riding pants that fit over your boots are freestyle pants or baggy riding gear. I don't like those very much for racing. We won't know untill the quad is out, but on my ex I had my rears trimmed and sometimes they would get caught on my boots. I didn't like it very much.

I was at the toronto bike show and saw the ltr and it's nothing like a yfz. This thing will kick some serious but, everything is twice as strong as anything on the yfz or the trx.I already paid for it in full, just waiting till febuary to get it.If you want to race mx and buy anything else your stupid. It's that simple, the greatist quad ever built period!

I agree this is going to be a good quad all im saying is the plastic could be better. Also like alot of people say its 90% Rider 10% Bike. Just my 2 cents.

ya 10% bike but when that bike breaks then it is still a DNF. The stronger it is built the less chance of it breaking.
plastic is replacible
