I'm sure you guys get sick of these types of questions, because I sure did on the 250R forum. But be easy on me haha I'm 100% new to the 4-stroke's. I'm racing next year on a 04 YFZ450 that I just traded my LSR250R for. It is bone stock except for a HMF pipe. I think I have most of my suspension mods figured out...are there any other "must have" mods? Thanks guys.

Your gonna love racing that thing. As far as must have mods, retarding one of the cam sprockets helps (sorry I dont remember which one it was). It really just depends on how serious you are about racing. If your a b/c rider you'll be fine. If your an A/pro rider you'll need to put alot into it to keep up. I completely did mine up with elka shocks, full walsh components, ect and won my first national moto on it. Start small than add as you go is my best advice.

Yeah, the stock shocks are really harsh especially for XC. Stabilizer of course.
