I just got a 2004 yfz. I am having a few problems and need some advice. They are as follows.

1) I just recently went and bought a brand new battery. They told me that it was already precharged and ready to go. I went home put it in and it still won't crank with the electric start. It is a slow barely turning over kind of sound. I even tried jumping it off and it does the same thing. What could the problem be?

2) After getting it cranked (by pushing it off), I can't keep the engine running. It will run as long as I keep the engine reved but as soon as I let off it goes dead. What could this be?

Its a good idea to put your battery onto a charger for awhile to make sure its all charged up.

Try setting the idle at a higher rpm on the carburator.
