This might sound stupid but will the a-arms from a yfz450 fit on an '01 raptor? I have shocks from a 450 and thought they would fit on the stock a-arms. Or will I have to buy aftermarket a-arms to make these shocks work.

The YFZ450 Shocks will easly bolt up 2 Stock Raptor A-Arms with alittle grinding.....as for YFZ A-Arms they are 2 narrow for the Raptors mounts and wont work w\o major spacing mods and also the Ball Joints are overstressed.....but as for ur Question, Yes for Shocks no for A-Arms
