can anybody give me more info on the 35 leak jet. My dealer said he has never heard of a jet called leak jet. Does anybody have a part number or location in the carb so I can get this taken care of. Thanks for any info.

Your leak jet is located in the float bowl. As you look into the bowl, it is the brass jet that you see in the bottom. With some time, and patience. You can change the leak jet and end up with a better result than bolting on a Boysen Quick Shot cover. Here is a link to Thumper Talk. It is a good read. AP tuning leak jets 101

Time to fire your dealer. Look at those yammie numbers for your service department to fix these things. Here ya go, print that off and hand it to them, and watch them squirm. The yammie part numbers, along with the leak jet numbers are down the page a ways. I'm glad to say, The shop that I work at has the techs up to date, (and backdated) on tech bulletins. I like to test the techs every now and then on this stuff.

Did you get the jet yet? The dealer has no idea what he is talking about. You just need to give him the correct part number and tell him to order it. It will run around $10.00 and is well worth it. It was the difference between night and day on my WR250F.

So what benefit do you gain by changing out the leakjet?

suppose to get rid of the bog right off idle. I hope to try it out this weekend.

Ordered jet but havent got it yet. It's been like 3 weeks now. Getting tired of waiting.
I'll let you know if I think it was worth the hassle.

Yes the leak jet will help cure the bog that you get when you blip the throttle in gear. You will notice this bog when trying to get over objects or trying to get the front wheel off the ground. It does the same thing as the Boysen Quick shot, but better and cheaper.

Need more info. What year is your quad? If it is a 06 then the leak jet will not help you like it would on the 04 and 05's. The 06 comes stock with a #40 leak jet. The older quads have a #70 LJ.
