WOW!

you made a beleiver of me! I figured it would be some jackleg dreaming asking a dumb qestion of how hard it would be. I love it! You got balls taking apart a near new quad though - I dont know if I coulda done it. How does it run and ride?

Posted by: davezilla

I actually found a 2003 rolling chassis online. It was beat bad, but i gave me a great place to start. I then found a 87 Zilla motor, which turned out to be even more beat then the chassis was. It took about a year to put together. With some help from a few friends it really came around. As far as how I like it.....I've never riden a quad I was happier with. All around it is incredible. I handles like a really light z400, but feels like the 2-strokes we all miss. I don't know if I just got lucky or what, but the the quads felt like it was perfectly weighted. I rode my z for a few minutes and it felt really heavy after riding this zilla hybrid. I think I will be keeping my Z for trail riding up here in the north and the zilla for the dunes.
Thanks, glad to hear you like it.

I bet that sob is fast as hell

looks good i like your color combos as well, looks way clean. i like everything on it except the bumper, looks a little big and misplaced. did u use the stock z swinger and lenghten it yourself?

Posted by: davezilla

I'm not a very good rider, I need all the protection I can get. I was going to put a deer killer from a F150 on there, but I couldn't get it to fit. Each there own!!!

Yes I did lengthen the stock swinger. I used two stock swingarms and reinforced the hollow middle. It seems to hold up pretty good so far. I have about 7 good dune days on it so far. Very light too.

That Is freakin sweat!!!!!!!!!!! how fast? 95mph?

Posted by: hmrubicon

SUZUKI ought to build a quad like this. Their sales would be through the roof! That is an awesome machine. I know someone who has a 400ex with a CR 500 engine in it. It is very fast but because it has no counterbalancer it vibrates so bad it breaks the frame and it has to get welded once or twice a year.
But with your machine you don't have to worry, because you have a counterbalancer in that LT 500 engine. Nice job!

Sorry to bring up this 3 month old thread, but that is one sick machine!

And the real reason why I brought up this thread, besides to let everyone see this awesome machine again, where in Wisconsin are you located? I go riding up north a few times each year and would definately like to ride with you sometime!

Posted by: Tri-valleyracin

do u think that would be a sick mx quad cuse i would be doin that if u could for the track. davezilla that its the one of the nicest hybrids i have ever seen.
