I am trying to convince my father that we have to change the oil in my 300ex moore often. Can anyone tell me how far apart each oil change should be considering i ride about 15 or so hours a week.

Well if you ride 15 hours or more a week I would do it at least every other week

Back when I use to use mine for work I would change it between 75 and 100 hours and I would put between 500-600 hours on them before selling with no problems.

I have to diagree. Change it every 30 hours like 04 ex suggested if you like like wasting hard earned money which I dont like to do. I run it 100 hours in 100+ degree south georgia heat with no problems. Even the owners manaul says change it every 100 hours and I think that the honda engineers that came up with those intervals are pretty trust worthy.

when i am putting my 300ex throught the roughest conditions, (XC racing) I change the oil about every 4 races. (6 hours) its not expensive. $2 for fiter and $4 if you use regular 10/40 oil

if you have the money or if mom and dad are paying

then i would go with like once or twice a month you cant change your oil to much

i change my oil every 2 months and i ride atleast an hour a day and i run synthetic but if ur runnin the other ''sh*t'' id change it every month i suggest using some amsoil and a k&n oil filter

I change mine about every 2-3 months depending on how much I ride it I dont romp on mine all the time. I ride mine like 3-5 hrs a week and i run a full synthetic amsoil. The synthetic amsoil keeps its color for a very long time, great stuff

I bet i don't go over a couple months. when i check it and notice it isn't golden colored no more i change it a few rides after. I like to keep it golden.
