300ex crankshaft into 250x

Does anybody know if a 300ex crankshaft will work in a 250x engine

I beleive so.
But, you WILL have to use a 300ex rod and piston as well, or you'r piston is going to be smacking the head since it has a longer stroke.

The question is why would you want to? The 250x IMHO is the better engine. If your willing to put that much work and cash into the engine for a negligible increase in power, why not put a 350x engine in?

it is torn down right now and the powroll stroker is a little spendy...then i realized a 300ex basicly same motor longer stroker....8 mm stroker not to expensive..figured it was something i should check into before putting the whole thing back together

so i heard that the shaft may be different because of the electric start???anybody know??
