I have finaly made up my mind and I am going to go with +2 Burgards for my 300ex. The problem is I need to know if I will need extended brake lines? Pappy said that I can use 400ex brake lines. will they work without problems or should I get some aftermarket steel braided ones?

Stock brake lines will work. I ran them with 250r a arms(almost +2 on the 300ex) for a while and they worked fine.

My stock lines worked fine on my plus 3's.

Stainless steel lines are a very nice improvement

Very true. I picked up a set for mine and they made a big difference. I can modulate the brakes much better and they feel more responsive. I can brake with one finger with the ss lines where before I needed 2. But if you don't have the cash right away the stockers will do. You can always upgrade later.
