i think the 22's just look dumb. I have 20" holeshot XC on mine and they look good.

I'd do mods in this order on a 300ex for XC. Some you already have.
The basics:
Pipe
Filter
Rejet
6-ply 22" tires (the guy with 20's dragging his high centered quad out of the rut section looks sillier than the tires) with slime.
Reinforced rims
Full Skid Plates
New Bars (once you bend your stockers)
Kill switch
Good Protective Riding Gear (boots, pants, helmet, gloves)
Next in line.
Suspension (a must) a-arms, swinger, shocks, axle, whatever works for you, I personally liket he stock width/length in MO, easier to pass on the tight tracks.
Bumper front and grab bar in back that you can grab a hold of to yank yourself out of sticky situations.
Steering Damper
Motor work last.
This is just my opinion.
FYI - I'm 30 and I still race my 300ex.
Going to upgrade to one of the 450's next year.. trying to keep up with the 450's in the 330 is becoming a challenge to say the least.. lol!!
