LET US SEE SOME OF THE BADDEST RAPTOR 80'S OR JUST REGULAR. ADD SOME RACING PICS TOO....

Posted by: 400ex4ever

Not to sound like a hater, but I havent seen one yet...

They look really cool but the suspension alone is from the stone ages.

Posted by: yfz450rider315

you havent seen what yet

You are going to have a hard time finding any bad raptor 80s because they are just not the type of machine that people can make bad. You would be better of looking for kasea's or honda's.

Thats got to be the ONE that someone spent some duckets on for sure. There is a reason they aren't built like the other machines.

That's the first Raptor 80 I have ever seen with A-arms (even dual for that matter).

I really like it thought. Just needs a little 2 stroke power to push now...LOL

Here is a 2003 Raptor 80 that I put a 250ex front end on. Chasis worked wonderful, but the power plant wasn't enough to push it around in racing.

Posted by: White7

any close up pics of that front end?

Posted by: cnichols

Let me see what I can find. I never took the time to really take any good close up pics after I finished it, but I will try to snap some over the holidays and post. I basically cut the frame on the 250x and positioned and welded it to the little Raptor. Stay tuned.

thats too bad cause it sure looks good! Was it a stock motor?? heck, you already done the chassis, might as well finish it off with a motor!

Posted by: cnichols

Will probably do that over the next year. My son was running the stock class this year and will be next year on a Polaris Predator 90 that we went with, but it may be a good modified class project. I am anxious to see how much punch I can get out of that little Yamaha engine.

I picked up a YFM100 "champ" motor from eBay. Had it bored over, cam from Raptor 80 racing, and pwk carb. I did the rear shock mod already and am currently looking to add the same front dual arms front a blaster like the blue one from the raptor 80 racing site.

Link to another raptor 80 with blaster front suspension.
