y do u want to put somethin that big on your quad? also i wouldnt trust somethin like that. looks like it could screw up the handling.

Well i have them on my 250ex and i have to say that they work good and i race mx. Impossible to bend. Better then wheel spacers. A good way to widen your quad cheap but i would suggest you to get extended a-arms, you'll be happier in the long run

WOW You stay with the 400s on your 250 when you are racing mx?

Posted by: atvfrk10

some times, matters if there are a lot of strait away or not. If there are lot of straits i cant because well a 250ex isnt as fast as a 400

Good and ebay widening kit do not belong in the same sentence. Look at it, if you really raced and rode hard that front end would snap like a twig within the first 2 minutes of riding.

Posted by: atvfrk10

ok did you even look at the pictures i posted, i have a picture of me doing a 50 foot double an it is still in perfect condition with the ebay widing kit so what is your definition of racing/riding hard

Posted by: exrider008

i also have that kit and it is imposible to bend but if u have the money i would just do it right with a-arms but if u r on a buget like me i would go for it.

u have to get longer tie rods right? if get a powroll bore kit for ur 250ex, a cam, 300ex carb and a big gun rev box(dont no if thier good or not) it ill wake ur 250 up alot.

Very interesting. Thanks for the links guys. I thought the 250EX would be good for my wife, but I never liked how narrow it was. This looks like a good cheap solution to widen it for her. She would be jumping or anything, just trail riding. Though it looks like jumping wouldn't be much of a problem either.

Thanks for the pics ATVfrk.

Im curious aobut the shock mount relocator for the 300ex that lets u use a 400ex shock and whatever arms i wonder how it would compare to long travel

it seems to me it would work better because it keeps the none moving parts above the ground more so than long travel arms and might achieve the same end result by moving the shock up

any one using it

I cant beleive they are still selling those things. i wouldnt even try a bike with that thing installed on what a ****ing ride that would be.

OK i am so sick of people like u, u dont have a kit so dont down it sure its not as good as a-arms but some of us dont have the money for them. and they r imposible to bend so stfu about things u have never tryed.

Posted by: Ex_Rider43

YOU should maybe STFU because the day your gonna try a good handling bike your gonna want to destroy you damn +6 widening *kit* from hell ... thats is if it doesnt destroy by itself.

hell ... buying ebay a-arms would be better than those things i would feel safer on them than riding with 1/4 heavy-*** plates holding my a-arms with brackets made for putting 400ex shocks on a 250ex . At 220$ you could save money for what... 2-3 weeks more and get some true a-arms made for some more abuse than stock instead of some bone-breaking steel plates.
