i currently gave a 1982 atc with a 1984 front end and in 5th gear will not wind out seems to cut out and wants to stall im guessing the floater needs to be cleaned or should i re-jet any ideas will be appreciated

2005 400ex-powermadd handguards, moose racing airfilter, pro grip

Is it only in 5th gear where it cuts out on top end?? I would first suspect it sounds like your main jet is a tad off. You might try putting a new plug in and doing a plug chop.

yes its only 5th every other gear winds out but i have never changed the plug or the stock throttle. the spark plug hasnt been changed and it ran fine b4 and nothing in the jets has been changed but im gonna change the plug and i have cleaned the carb
