Why is that? Do you know something the engineers at Honda don't?

what do you use wilkin?

i use Bel-Ray gear saver in my R and it is the best i have ever used. Shifts really smooth and never had a problem. I'm pretty hard on the clutch too and not a single problem yet.

I use Amsoil 10w40.
I'm a fan of synthetic oils, but they must be MOTORCYCLE oils, approved for use with wet clutches.
Many synthetic automotive motor oils have friction modifiers. That's all well and fine for a car, because the oil isn't in contact with the clutch. Friction modifiers can cause your clutch to slip, and if it slips too much it will overheat and burn.

I use amsoil 10-40 also. it's usually alittle over half a quart. just fill till it comes out the check oil hole.

hehe i use tractor gear oil. and at somethign like $8 for 2 gallons, you can afford to change it frequently. ive used it for a while, no complaints, performs the same as other gear oils i have used that cost that much a quart...
