I think both days brotha, sat and sun make sure you ask if its cool to bring the guys down on sunday, sat we will rip it hard and then sunday as well!
Posted by: rockman
how do you like those trail techs? are they worth it?
Posted by: doc-bones
The lights are 100 watts each and they are Ricky Stator along with 200Watt Stator by Ricky Stator. Absolutely worth it if you do any night rides! I have used Trail techs in the past and they are pretty good also. (not as good as Ricky Stators stuff) But considerably better than any stock system.
Posted by: beerock
yea the ricky stators rock i have the 200 watt stator and the 100watt each bulbs just like DOC'S set up. It took the guys i ride with a while to convice me to get rid of my PVL ignition for some lights. When i knew i was goin to glamis i gave in cuz i knew id be missin out, and damn i hated having to watch someone elses lights while riding at night with no lights
here they are on both bikes in glamis right next to the border of mexico representin the EAST COAST!
Posted by: doc-bones
WOW! Beerock pulling last Novembers pics out from the infamous GLAMIS TRIP! Nice touch beerok!

I've got an 89.
I'll probably be riding in Treverton this Sunday, is there any good riding left in Jersey?
Posted by: doc-bones
WE have many miles of great riding. Other than out on west coast we have some of the best riding including trails, sand pits, etc. We have many places to ride. I have friends that drive from all over PA, NY, North Jersey, etc. Because we have the best riding.
Posted by: bananas
It's great too see guys over 40 riding R's........
Hope to see you this winter down south doc....

86 roller. I can at least sit on it anyway.

It takes time to build and pay for a dream machine!!
Posted by: ground_zero298
I know the feeling I got one I can ride but can't do anything to it and one I can turn into my dream machine but don't have all the funds to do it.
I had no idea so many people had r's I thought only twenty or thirty people at the most. It's good to see so many people keepin them alive and building new ones.
i figured I'd help make the world a better place, so I'm building a new one.
Besides to many damn thumpers need to be put in their place.
Posted by: hondardr4life

Thanks Rockman, the body takes a couple days to recovery after a weekend of riding mostly in the thigh area but I get over it. I plan on revalving my shocks for my weight so that should help. Terry

if you think that is awesome/impressive, you should see our dune group. there is a couple who has to be every bit of 70 who come and ride with us. they have 87 lt and trx 250rs, and a couple of raptors. the lady (who like i said is every bit of 70) rides the raptor up in the mountains and on trails and stuff, but prefers the trx250r for the dunes. her bike is 100% stock too with exception of the filter... it runs like a champ and she rides like a champ too, she hangs just fine on our trail rides when everybody goes... we our her husband occasionally have to start it for her and she cant kick it over too well, but man a 70 year old lady who weighs a little over 100 pounds out there riding her R with us each season... thats impressive...

Heres a pic of my cuz and his 250r.. Im a thumper owner but I still love to hop on it and gas the hell out of it.
Posted by: DezSled
My compadre talked me into doing another project bike, so here is the beginnings of it. It's on the left.
Did I mention I'm a fan of the ole 250r...
The '86 TRX250R is from a team Honda member from the early '80s. His team finished 3rd Overall Vehicle on a '85 or '86? ATC250R one year in the Baja 1000. Beating ALL the trucks and buggies and most of the bikes. The TRX250R had a factory Paul Turner engine/pipe combination that I couldn't pass up.
The '87 TRX250R raced Barstow to Vegas in '88 &'89 finishing 10th and 6th overall ATV. It's now just a prefunner/duner.
The other TRX250R is my preferred race weapon. It's kinda special (DW 2/05 pg 155).
The white one is a everyday LT-R450, pretending to be a racebike (it needs some race prep plus has to go to Jenny Craig first).
When I grow up to a class 1/2 1600 or 12 race buggie they will go...
