make sure its a full exhaust and you rejet the carb afterwords. get a wider axle too, it will handle and corner better(i think only durablue makes axles for it)
Posted by: hondaracer2001
is there anything i can do with the front end...how about plastic....and if i put holes in the air box lid....would that help?...
Posted by: ZeroLogic
if you get a k and n airfilter you would just have to take off the air box lid and rejet not sure if anyone makes plastic for the 250ex along with a wider front end
check those sites i gave you

herrmann racing and ASR make aarms for the 250.. also no one else makes plastics.. YET.... and get a full system exhaust kandN and rejet and u will enjoy the power

instead of spending the money on plastics, but want a new look, try cutting your own first. its very cheap and easy, and still adds a new, good look to it. if you mess them up, buy new ones, but instead of just buying them right off the bat, try cutting them and see what you get, you never know you might like it better and save a $hit load of money.

i seen a 250ex with race cut front plastic and it didnt look well i think it was becasue the back plastic sticks out so mabey if you would cut both before buying new plastic

is it a good idea to make the front end wider or not....and where should i go for the pipe?
Posted by: hondaracer2001
will it work to put holes in my air box lid to make breath better..but will it increase my horsepower any? or my bottom end?
Posted by: ZeroLogic
it would let it breath easyer and a little bit more power but just take the lid off and get a k and n airfiler and a outwear you will see a big improvement with that and a nice full exaust system
look here for the k and n airfilter and outwear

There is a billet spark arester end cap thing on ebay. I don't know if it's an actual spark arrester or just an end tip. Most likely will not get any extra power. Will sound a little different but not louder. Get the k&n along with removing your airbox lid. I did not have to rejet mine when I did this (the plug is a light golden brown
) Made the throttle response a lot better. It also gave it a better sound.

is there anyway ya can get me that site....or maybe some other sites for parts

the so called 'power tip' for the exhaust i think your talking about is the same thing as taking your baffle out. it wont really do much power wise.
hes right though, get a filter and take off your air box lid. you might not have to rejet but you probablly should. throttle response would be alot better and itll run better.
Posted by: my250ex
if you add just a filter you wont have to rejet. i know because i did it. they come a little rich from the factory. you will probably need to rejet if you take the lid off though
Posted by: hondaracer2001
what filter do u recommend ?
Posted by: my250ex
i have a kn and i didnt need to rejet

Me too, I also have a power lid thing, similer to the ehs lid. I love my k&n. Gave a lot better throttle response, not to mention a better sound. And it's not a whole lot of money. I would definatly look into it.

exhaust, k&n filter, jets wheel spacers maybe shocks
Posted by: my250ex
although i did keep my air lid on because i dont want any water getting in. i drilled some holes in the lid
Posted by: hondaracer2001
ok ill get one of them then
Posted by: my250ex
make sure you keep it clean
Posted by: hondaracer2001
