what does the cr 250r head gasket do versus the trx 250r head gaset? from what year cr's will fit and on what year motor

the cr gasket is thinner so it bumps your compression up, which helps in low to mid range, but it also requires a higher use of octane...

the 89 model cr headgasket fits. also it does bump the compression up but u will still b fine to run 91 octaine pump gas.

i had a milled head and cr gasket and stil ran pump gas

some people have problems running 91/93, some people dont. although you may be ok runnning 91, i was just saying it does require as higher octane then a trx gasket, regardless if you were already running 91...

tru. you can also run an atc gasket its thinner then a trx gasket and thicker then a cr gasket. or you can split a trx gasket and iether use 1 or 2 of the outer pieces and through the thick chrome center away.
