I race XC and I want to powder coat my frame. I was thinking of buying a brand new frame and powder coating it. Should I keep the old 04 frame, at alot of the welds the paint chipped off so i'm afraid the welds are weak. Also would a 06 frame work for the 04 parts

im not sure, i own a 05 450r, if the 06 dont fit, just get a 05

I would just spend the money and gusset and pc your 04 frame. I have an 04 and the frame cracked in several places after my first season on it. I had the gusseting and pc done last winter and its holding up great.

Yeah dont spend all that money gettin a new on just gussget yours then get it powder coated
