Ive had this thing for a long time. Its a 1995 honda trx200 type II (the trunkmobile) But it hasnt ran in almost a year. I think its an electrical problem.

When you turn it on, the reverse light comes on. No matter what gear you put it in, it still says its in reverse. I think the little switch in the transmission that tells it what gear its in has shorted out or something. And it wont start unless the electrical system thinks its in neutral. Is there any way I can bypass this switch? Could it be a blown fuse? Any help would be appreciated.

there should be a wire coming out of the tranny on the right side that tells it when it's in reverse. if you can find it try to disconnect it and maybe that will let it start. you sure it's not in reverse?
