you could have a strong running 416/426 for $1000 maybe a little cheaper depending how far you go.

you could, ecspecially if you did the work your self.

Piton kit JE 11:1=$150
Good cam = $160-180
Bore =$49
Gasket kit=$30
Port and polish=$200-300
Total=$590--$710 for this, plus labor if you have someone do it for you.

you can also go with larger valves, just new valves, 3-angle valve job, ignition, pipe, head decked, Hardened rockers, ect.... which would all add to the cost.
