it could also be a loose wire or the turrmenals are lose give clean them with a wire brush also the battery could not be holding a charge

I am having problems with my '87 Honda four trax. When I try to start it,there is a "click" and it won't start. I have replaced the battery and it ran for a while. When I turned it off then tried to restart, the "click" was all I got. This is a Honda 1987 four-trax 250.

try the starter relay(solenoid) thats what happened to mine.

I do not have a shop manual,so where is the solenoid?

if ur looking directly at the battery...its to the left

follow your battery wire to a lil cylender type thing that is your starter relay if you ever get stuck on a trail when that happens a screwdriver touching the two post on the relay will get you out of that but i wouldnt do that all the time
