Anyone have the Dealership set your Valve Lash?

I've set many on cars in my time, and tried my 400EX adjustment a while back. I just don't have "the touch" on this motor for some reason and had a hard time getting them right. Anyways, I think they need to be set again and I think this time I'll just pay the dealer to do it and save the frustration. Any idea what kind of money the dealer charges? Labor cost/hour etc.?

Down here in Florida I called my dealership after I re-adjusted mine on my YFZ to see how much money I had saved myself... $350 .

I called a few dealers around here (California) and they quoted anywhere between $200 to $300 for the work. I did everything myself with a shop manual and some hints from people here. Just take your time.

I bought one for $20 on eBay.

Man!!! I must be cheating myself with those prices...LOL I don't charge but $100 to do a full service on a quad. That's cleaning the air filter, changing the oil, adj valves, greasing everything, brake fluid, checking rear end lube if needed or adj chain,etc.etc.etc.etc.

And you guys are saying they want that kind of money to adj the valves? What a rip off. I couldn't sleep at night knowing I charged someone like that..LOL

Oh BTW I run Ultimate Motorsports which is an ATV shop.

The first time i had it done they charged me 70 bucks (hours woth of labor) and im not far from you hemi operator. I got my manual on ebay for 5 bucks and feeler gauges for like another 5. saved a good amount.
