i know this may sound like a stupid question but here goes. how do i check the oil level on my 250R? what should the oil level be? and how many quarts of oil should i have in there?
Posted by: 4punksdad
the case probably holds around a quart. there should be an oil level check bolt near the bottom and side of the case.

do i just unscrew the bolt and look inside to check the oil level? im used to a dipstick so im confused.

I could be wrong on this but it is probably similar to the 400EX crankcase check bolt. Unscrew the bolt and the oil should be flush with the bottom of the hole. hope i helped

Yep! It should be just that easy.
pedezilla....Do you have an owners manual/maintenance/repair manual? That should give you exact directions.

Unscrew the bolt, if no oil comes out add some until it does.
