I am getting this too. I found out by clicking a thread link in an email. It was bringing me here to a thread that had no response yet. The other link too me to a thread here that I hadn't subscribed to. I'm guessing they had the same thread id as the threads at cdaleriders.

Look to have your URL forwarded someone has to type in the forwarding address. It is no accident. If the server was down it would not know who to forward too.

Just got off the phone with doug and he said that he didn't do anything. must have been who controls the server since these two sites are on the same server. probly was a missed key stroke or extra keystroke somewhere.

yup Armoks....exriders and cannondaleriders are hosted on the same server. So the routing is probobly 1 number different. Easy typo if someone was messing with the routings.

Hey I got cdaleriders to open once a few minutes ago and it and depending on the section it would flip you to a differant section here like click open there you get kfx/z400 here or for sale brought me to maintence here...kinda weird

the IP address is 63.208.1.219 but it cant be loaded.
and there is no re-direct from there.

Looks like the DNS entry changed but it still comes up on whois.
Because if you do a lookup you get an error that a record is missing.
Answer:
63.208.1.219 PTR record: cannondaleriders.com. [TTL 600s] [A=66.251.193.242] *ERROR* A record does not point back to original IP.

Ok, I talked to Jaybr. He says that there is a DNS problem at the host. I believe that Harlen is in control of that server. I'm pretty sure that every thing is still there and when I talked to Jaybr, he didn't seem too worried about it. Its just a matter of getting this straightened out.

Man, had to blow off the dust for myself on this site. I was a tad worried about it myself at first, but I figured it wouldnt be like Doug to do something as drastic as selling with out prior notice first. I dont have my Linux machine up and running at the momment so I didnt bother pinging any of the sites for DNS feedback, but what badvox says seems to make perfect sense. If it is just something as simple as a DNS server issue it should be a quick fix.

If it such as easy fix.How come its not fixed? I think their more to then that.Don't anyone have anything better to do then worry about a forum down? Some guys are on their are on all day.You would think they would be out riding or something if they have all that time to be on a forum

Hmmm, good point. I guess it never occured to anyone that some of us are adults. We have full time jobs and the guys on that site are all freinds that actually ride together a couple times a year. So sitting and checking the site out a few times a day is not uncommon.

I have a server built and ready to give Cannondaleriders a new home. Just need to reach Doug and see what's going on. Somehow I do not think it's a DNS issue either.

Exactly why we don't want to lose it! We have a good group of guys(most of them) and they would bend over backwards to help out anouther c-dalerider instead of ripping them off.
