I Need to replace the wifes 250R. She races MX in the novice class and right now is 2nd in points with 2 races left. I am on a budget of about 7k and I'm not sure i could get a new 4 stroker for that with suspension. I have run across a lsr chassis 350 PV for about 5k. Should I wait & save up for a new Zuk?, 450R? or just buy the 350?

two storkes r dead so save ur money and buy a four stroke.

that "dead" 2 stroke will be lighter and handle better than the new 4 strokes, it will cost $$$$ to get the new 4 stroke to run as good as the 350. maintenance will cost more and be way more time consuming since they're nowhere near as simple as a R. parts are everywhere and relatively cheap for the R.
if she's really into racing and plans on going as far as she can with it i'd say get a 4 stroke. i think it's easier to get sponsership if she's on a new machine. but the price of a new machine with suspension/bars/nerfs/motorwork/tires/wheels can get out of control FAST! kinda makes that 350 look like a bargain.

check ebay out!! I saw a killer deal on a Suzuki 400 and you'd still have money left to buy other things you wanted. And I think it was in Colorado.

Thanks for the input. We are not planning on racing for more than the next couple of years. Our club held a riders clinic yesterday. She was able to ride a 450R and a YFZ. She liked the way the 450r handles but still says she likes the 2 stroke. I guess I'm going to pick up the 350 this afternoon.
so make that 5 R's in the signature.
