where are some good places to ride not to far from the Phoenix area?

There's a spot just north florence with tons of trails and stuff to see. You take the 79 north of Florence 5-10 miles to Cottonwood
canyon rd. Go east. Once you get into the hills there are trails winding everywhere.

Being from Tucson I have limited experience in your area, but you can't go wrong with this spot. Little hot right now though.

What part of Phoenix are you at?

I have had a few great rides from the site www.ridingarizona.com

To answer your question, there are several good riding areas around Phoenix... But I have recently converted myself to the dunes!
