i am looking for nerf bars with heel guards for my 400ex. I origanialy wanted some ac's... but alot of people told me they dont have a switchable footpeg so once the peg gets worn out i wont be able to change the pegs... who has nice nerfbars with heelguards at a reasonable price? i have been looking around and will take any opinions...

do they creak or clank around like some other nerf bars i have seen>? i saw a pair one a 450r and they did creak when weight was on them, mabe they didnt install them tightly or something? do the pegs last long? what happenes when the are worn out? how big are the pegs compared to the stock pegs? are the pegs in a diffrent height position?

They dont have different pegs like the AC's. I have the old style AC w/ removable heel guards. The pegs are at least twice as wide if not more, mine teeth on my pegs are all worn down, but I still dont have a problem holding on.

Get some AC's without pegs or heels and then get IMS/Roll heel guards and foot pegs with the kick-up. You can get the IMS combo on ebay for like $300 and the AC's I think are around $150. The IMS stuff is a bit more expensive but top quality and it looks the nicest too.

I LOVE my Moose nerfs, they are light wieght and extremely tough...I do alot of trail ridin and bumped into alot of trees and they have yet to bend!

I had my moose pro peg nerfs with heel gaurds and I hit a tree, bent the crap out of them. I have to cut them in half just to get them off. I'd say AC

Ac is the only way 2 go, ive got them on mine and i love them, ac is the only way 2 go

the AC footpegs may not be interchangeable but I'll bet they last

i got the pro armour and like em.. i think u can buy footpegs if u want to replace the stock ones with em aslong as they have a place to put the one or two screws in them attaches to the nerfs ...

I am actually not too happy with my AC propegs for my 4 hundy. The fit is not very good. As a matter of fact, I am going to start buying PRM products as they are a lot beefier. My belly skid cracked because of vibration, I repaired it hand added a brace down the middle to stiffen it, but I went to the dealer today for unrelated parts and happened to check out the PRM Skids. The AC stuff is positively flimsey in comparison. AC's stuff looks really nice, but I am sorry, I gotta go where the better product is.

Ive had really good luck with my DG's. A few of my friends have AC pro pegs on their yfz and 450r. its been nothin but trouble for them. several welds have broke on it and it its just all fallin appart after about a year of racing with em. I really like DG and pro armor
