Anyone going to Hatfield McCoy this weekend? We are going to Rockhouse for the fourth time. I live near Shelbyville Indiana and ride @ Haspin.

We went down over Labor weekend... Great Ride But out of 6 of us we lost 6 Tires.... We got killed...I don't know the trails are great!!!!!

We were there this past weekend. Rockhouse was in good shape, except for trail 94 (black) which we didn't even attempt and black trail 93, which we went down and even that was hairy with some uphill climbs in it.

This is my fourth trip to Rockhouse. Those black trails can be alittle tricky. I always liked trail 31 with the switchbacks.
Where did everyone stay at? We are staying in Man behind the 7 11 at Rockhouse rentals. We have 8 people in our goup this time. Seems like it gets bigger every year. Everyone hears how much fun we have there and they want to go. We might need to find a bigger place to stay next year. Or make two trips. I hope to make it back one more time this year. That would be Great.

Gilbert is great... Don't use google maps or map quest to get their, they were wrong.. It took us 13 hour to get down and 10.5 to get home... For us it has to be a 3 day week end... Getting in at 3am sucks....But great riding.....
Gas was cheaper in Gilbert than any were on the trip down....

sorry about that motoman. I was busy gettin things ready. We didn't get to do waterways. I hope to check it out next time. We rode 145 miles this weekend. It was great. The dust was bad and it slowed us down a bit. We had 8 people in our group. I think I might go to Big Rock in Maysville KY in a couple of weeks.

I know, I'm sorry Dewster. When we were driving past your work, I was like "OMG, I forgot to tell Dewey we were heading down". My ooops....

Anyways....big trip planned for the weekend of June 17th, 2006. Mark it down!!!

http://www.trailsheaven.com/calendar.cfm Trailfest 2005!!! Down in Gilbert / Man area. This is the Rockhouse trailhead. Bear wallow is about 20 minutes away from Man, WV. Very good time from what I hear and excellent riding!!!
