what year cylinders of cr250 will fit 250r's want to buy used cylinder also what abouth the pilot cylinders i really want a powervalve one.

look at is this way..... If it could be easily done to make a cr250 powervalve work on the R..... wouldnt it be a very common thing done to the R? but nobody does it.

actually the early year cr250 jugs will bolt right on. making the pwervalve work is a bit tricky though.

1985-1989 will bolt right on to a TRX short rod base. The 1986-1989 have powervalves and do take a little imagination to make them work somehow. The Mid 90's version will not line up on the two front base studs and will take some grinding and modification. The benifit of the mid 90's is the Ports are layed out just like the Nic's cylinders and the powervalves also open and close the extra exhaust ports.
