have took my stock head pipe off and got a battery power drill and put a wire brush attachment on it and cleaned my header, and it looks good it tooks like a aftermarket one, if your pipe looks bad try it, and if you have a aluminum, silencer, polish it and it looks like chrome, it takes some time but it looks awsome like if you have a e-series, the whole pipe will look like the end cap, if i had a digital camera i would show you
