whats faster a 330ex
or a 250x with a 350x engine in it
and what is cheaper to do
and what would i lose like light ex.

you won't lose the light, the 350x has lighting coils. a well built 330 vs a stock 350x, the 330 would take it. but do some minor work to the 350x, like 10:1 piston, cam and or ported head, 400ex carb, and they're even, plus you can go bigger on the 350x. but you lose reverse, electric start, and the exhaust has to be custom made or bought. depending on how much you pay for a 350x motor, the 330 would probably be cheaper.

A 350x motor with a pipe is faster than a 400ex with a pipe. I well built 330ex is faster than a 400ex with a pipe. So basically they are about even. The 330 would definetly be cheaper, so I would go with that if I was you. They are both equally reliable. The only advantage of a 350x motor is that it can be punched out to a 4 hundred something.
