I read somewhere that I can do a modification to my 400ex headpipe to flow better by grinding somethings ... Can someone can show me pictures and explain to me how to do this modification?!?

I know that is better to buy a aftermarket one but sometime I need to put my stock pipe then I want to keep the stock headpipe

Thanks

Take the headpipe off and grind the welds inside of the part that goes into the cylinder head. I haven't done it yet, just read about it on here but I am about to get to work on it.

Ok just unbolt your stock headpipe off of the engine. Look down into the headpipe. You will see a bead of weld on the inside of the headpipe. Take a dremel and grind it right down so that the inside of the headpipe looks smooth. Bolt it back on. Your done! I did this myself (sorry no pics) and didn't notice a difference at all.

you said that you don't have seen a difference them do this mod is a lost of time?!?

Well I had my headpipe off already to do other work, so it wasn't too much of a waste of time for me, plus I think I could have grinded off a little more of the weld, but its up to you man. Some people say they notice a difference, but I think it might just be in their heads. Only one way to find out bud.......get grindin.....
